Sharing the positive experience I had with nanny Chai Siew Yoon (ST257). She was very caring and patient, ensuring that my newborn is well taken care of. She had everyone in the family appreciating her for the level of care she provided to me and more importantly, to my newborn girl. By the end of the engagement, it was clear our girl liked her too!

From the first day she arrived, Siew Yoon’s skills and experience shone and we could tell she truly cared for our girl. She keeps close watch on schedule and also has the ability to understand what our girl wanted through her actions and cries. She was able to easily tell if our girl was hungry, sleepy or wanted her diapers changed, ensuring that our girl was comfortable. She also often takes initiative to help with our girl’s development. This includes ensuring that every day, she had regular tummy time to help develop her neck muscles and speaking to her often to start getting her to use her vocals.

Outside of taking care of our girl, Siew Yoon was a very easy-going person and settled easily into our home. She got along well with our family members and made sure to take our concerns into consideration, not imposing any traditional methods of care that we may not be comfortable with. She also imparted knowledge and tips to us and our family members so that we know what to look out for.

With Siew Yoon taking care of our girl, we were always at ease while we had plenty of rest. We are extremely grateful for what she has done for us. Having her around really helped made the “4th trimester” very smooth!

Star confinement agency has good response speed when i needed a confinement nanny last min. I contacted them about 2 weeks before i had my c section delivery due to unforeseen circumstances. Winnie was quick to respond and managed to find me a few profiles for my consideration. After much consideration and also recommendation by the agency, I picked Auntie Yu Er (Liang Yok Ngoh 239) gold tier nanny for my second confinement this time round.
Auntie Yu Er was a good fit for my family and I am indeed lucky to be able to have her taking care of me for my confinement. She has a very good temperament and a very gentle disposition. For a second time mummy, she would share how she takes care of babies and mummies usually and seeks my opinion on whether that's okay with me. She is a very good cook and takes very good care of mummy for recovery. For example, she would boil red bean soup without me asking, to reduce water retention issues when she noticed i had water retention after my c sect delivery. She is also very encouraging in my breastfeeding journey and gave me suggestions on how to make myself feel better or have more milk. Always giving positive vibes.
She was very hands on with my newborn baby and made sure I had every opportunity to rest especially during the first few weeks. She would always talk to my newborn in a super calm and soothing manner and he would always calm down quickly whenever she carries him. She would also wake up dutifully for middle of the night feeds and also check on baby constantly whenever he stirs or makes some noise so I felt at ease to leave him in her good hands. I extended her for 2 more weeks (total 6 weeks) after my first week with her as i was in love with her cooking and also saw how she took care of my newborn as well as bonded with my toddler (2 yo).
As an experienced baby sitter for many years even before being a confinement nanny in SG, she knows how to handle not just newborns but also toddlers very well. Recommended for second time mummies especially. My toddler loves her so much and will always look for her to play.
We will definitely miss her when she leaves.
