Do you need to meditate?
There are 2 simple questions to ask yourself – and if you answer yes to either, you do (see below).
But first, after studying a ton of modalities to deal with stress – both current and historical – I’ve come to the conclusion that the two best are:
(1) Meditation 🧘♂️
(2) Talking 💬
Meditation because it expands your 'stress bucket' and builds your tolerance to deal with 💩.
Talking because, if you’re aware and willing, a skilled therapist will ask the questions you're not asking yourself. These questions open new neural pathways, strengthening your resilience – much like how a personal trainer builds physical strength. 💪
And it doesn’t really matter what their qualifications are: executive coach, psychotherapist, psychologist, or counsellor – as long as they’re good. At Levitise, we favour positive psychology and forward-looking coaching, but it’s about finding what works best for you.
I feel qualified to share this perspective after trying a variety of therapies, including applied kinesiology, cranial sacral therapy, reiki, wellness qigong, transcendental meditation, tai chi, kundalini yoga, emotional freedom technique (EFT), homeopathy, bioresonance, acupressure, acupuncture, biofeedback, and breathwork.
So, back to the questions:
Are you too busy to meditate? Then you need to meditate!
Can’t turn off your brain while meditating? Then you need to meditate!
Remember, meditation is like exercise. There are so many different kinds – it’s about finding the right one for you at this moment. 🧠✨
