Who knew a ball of clay could bring so much joy? ๐ŸŽจ

The caregivers from the Caregiver Support Network Community Outreach Team (CREST-CSN) got their hands messy (in the best way!) during their first-ever clay modelling session with our volunteer, Michelle. What started as a simple activity turned into a therapeutic break! ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿฆ‹

Caregivers also took home a gentle reminder from the psychoeducation segment โ€œWe Cannot Control Everything โ€“ Relaxโ€. They learnt that while not everything is within their control, they can choose how to respondโ€” by managing their emotions, caring for themselves, and approaching challenges with calm and resilience.

It was a fun and inspiring afternoon that shaped not just clay, but also a little more peace and joy. ๐Ÿ’•

In my Mind Mirror todayโ€ฆ

We often wear a mask that hides what we really need. Pause for a moment and reflect:

๐Ÿ’ฌ What does your mind mirror reveal today?
๐Ÿ’› What are you asking yourself for?

Remember, tuning into your needs is a brave and important step towards self-care. Youโ€™re not alone. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ˜Š

Our clients from the Recovery Wellness Programme spent a sporty and activity-filled day at Woodlands Waterfront Park, organised by students from Hwa Chong Institution through Project Matchsticks (.matchsticks).

Set against the scenic backdrop of Woodlands Waterfront Park, the day was blessed with refreshing weather, open spaces, and a calming sea breeze that added to the sense of relaxation. Clients participated in physical activity such as captain's ball before joining the students in sandwich-making. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿคพโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿฅช

We are grateful for the collaboration with the students of Hwa Chong Institution in encouraging the use of sports and calming activities for mental wellness, while nurturing inclusivity among our clients. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ˜Š

Our Community Intervention Team (COMIT) led a 'Mental Health Awareness Talk' for the staff of the National Environment Agency (NEA)(). During the session, they explored topics such as recognising early signs of distress, de-escalating crises, and supporting mental well-being in the workplace. ๐ŸŒฑ

It was an eye-opening session filled with learning and open conversations. Small steps like listening, checking in with one another, and knowing when to seek help can go a long way in building a healthier working environment for everyone. โœจโ˜บ๏ธ

Fresh ideas for dementia care! ๐ŸŒŸ

The Caregiver Support Network Community Outreach Team (CREST-CSN) recently collaborated with students from the School of Health & Social Sciences, Nanyang Polytechnic, to support their Final Year projects.

Over the past few weeks, the students engaged closely with the team, caregivers, and professionals to develop innovative solutions aimed at enhancing support for persons living with dementia and their caregivers.

Four creative and impactful prototypes were presented:

1. ๐Ÿงฐ Dementia Care Toolkit
2. โ„น๏ธ Dementia Information Booth
3. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿฆณ Workshop for Domestic Helpers
4. ๐Ÿƒ Educational Card Game for Caregivers

A big thank you to the students for their hard work and dedication! Your ideas have the potential to make a real difference in the lives of caregivers and those living with dementia. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ˜‹๐ŸŒž

โ€œKeep your face always towards the sunshineโ€”and shadows will fall behind you.โ€ โ€” Walt Whitman โ˜€๏ธ

In our mental health journey, focusing on the positive doesnโ€™t mean ignoring struggles. It means choosing to notice hope, strength, and healing even in tough times.

Let this reminder inspire you to keep looking towards the light as you care for your mind and mental well-being. โœจ๐Ÿ’š

Celebrating SG60 Together โค๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰

Last week, the caregivers from the Caregiver Support Network Community Outreach Team (CREST-CSN) swapped paintbrushes for plates as they held a National Day potluck in place of their weekly art workshop. They kicked things off with light exercises, followed by a hearty spread lovingly prepared by everyone. ๐Ÿด

The afternoon was filled with laughter, games, sing-alongs to local tunes, and a lucky draw to round off the celebration. Hereโ€™s to the kampung spirit that keeps us connected and thriving! ๐Ÿ’šโ˜บ๏ธ

What Does Your Mind Mirror Show Today? โœจ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

Sometimes, the face we show to the world isnโ€™t the whole story. If your mind was a mirror today, what would it reflect? Take a moment to check in with yourself and share how youโ€™re really feeling beneath the surface.

Drop a word or emoji in the comments, or screenshot this and share it on your Stories. Letโ€™s create a space where honesty and kindness guide our mental health journey. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ˜Š
