Are you seeking a fairer looking skin? ๐ First of all, do you know how our skin colour is determined? No? Read below๐ to find out more!
The primary determinant of variability in human skin colour is the amount of pigment (Melanin) in our skin. Interestingly, we have 2 different types of Melanin pigments:
1. Eumelanin which is responsible for black-brown pigmentation
2. Pheomelanin which is responsible for yellow-red pigmentation
The ratio of the 2 pigments determines our skin colour. To achieve a fairer skin, we need more Pheomelanin and lesser Eumelanin! ๐ฒ๐ฒ
Did you know that Oxithion is great at bumping up the Pheomelanin to Eumelanin ratio which allows you to achieve fairer looking skin!
So.. how does Oxithion bump up Pheomelanin to Eumelanin ratio? ๐ค๐ค
Knowing from the above that the amount of Melanin in our skin determines our skin tone. We then need to understand how Melanin is formed!
Melanin is synthesized by special skin cells called Melanocytes which have this essential enzyme called Tyrosinase, which is a critical component in the biosynthesis of Eumelanin.
This is where Oxithion comes in!
Oxithion's active ingredient, reduced L - Glutathione (GSH) DIRECTLY inhibits Tyrosinase activity and hence reduces the formation of Eumelanin in our skin. Furthermore, GSH stimulates the formation of Pheomelanin! This causes the rapid increase of Pheomelanin to Eumelanin ratio in our skin ๐๐ leading to fairer skin!
