Associate Professor Daniel Fung, CEO of the Institute of Mental Health Singapore(IMH), will be handing over the reins to Dr Jamie Mervyn Lim, who has been appointed CEO-Designate with effect from 19 January 2026, and will officially assume the role on 1 February 2026. Dr Lim will conclude his tenure as CEO of Ren Ci Hospital on 18 January 2026.

Bringing extensive leadership experience across acute and community care, Dr Lim has driven major milestones at Ren Ci over the past three years. He was previously COO of Tan Tock Seng Hospital (2015–2022).

We thank Associate Professor Daniel Fung, who has led IMH with heart, dedication and vision since 2021. A champion for a whole-of-society approach to mental health, his leadership has strengthened IMH’s role as NHG Health’s specialist centre for psychiatric care in Singapore.

Congratulations Dr Lim on the new role, and thank you A/Prof Fung for your leadership!

𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 💙

What a meaningful day it was as we came together to celebrate NHG World Diabetes Day 2025, themed “Embracing Hope & Resilience.” With over 200 attendees, the event was filled with energy, learning and a strong sense of community.

From panel discussions on diabetes management to interactive presentations on proper footwear, as well as fun games and hands-on booths, the day offered something for everyone. Attendees had the chance to learn more about diabetes prevention and management in engaging and accessible ways, reminding us that every conversation and every step toward better health truly matters.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed, participated and helped make this event such a success. And a special thank you to our generous sponsors — your support makes it possible for us to reach more people and create lasting impact in our community’s fight against diabetes.
