100 years ago, on the 9 March 1926 Mikao-sensei (Founder of Reiki) passed from this world.✨

Through his spiritual insight and dedication to helping others, he founded the healing practice now known as Reiki, teaching more than 2,000 students during his lifetime.✨

More than a century later, his legacy continues to ripple across the world.✨

What began as one man’s search for spiritual understanding and inner harmony has become a path of healing, compassion, and connection for millions of people. Through Reiki, his vision lives on encouraging us to cultivate kindness, balance our minds and bodies, and bring peace into the world around us.✨

May we pause in gratitude for Usui-sensei, whose life reminds us that a single person’s dedication to healing and wisdom can touch generations.✨

May we honour his legacy by sharing light, compassion, and healing to the world.✨

The first Reiki principle is “Just for today, I will let go of anger…”
So today, when you feel the familiar tide of anger approaching, take the opportunity to change the pattern.
Go inside.
Remember how you know that we are all energy and we are all one. Find your heart of compassion.
See the pain that anger will cause another, but even more, see the pain that it will, and does, cause you.
Take a deep breath and feel that you are safe and steady.
You are powerful and beautiful.
There is no need to feel angry when you are grounded in yourself.
The mighty oak doesn’t anger at the storm – it stands its ground, the storm passes and the oak is nourished by the rain.
Take whatever storms come your way and drop into yourself.
Don’t yield to the storm.
It’s only your branches that will break.
Take the lessons and be nourished.
You are safe, you are strong, and you are free from anger’s hold.

A tunnel made of glass is something special:
He lets there be light in.

“You can’t do that… that’s not right… it’ll be as I say…
what will the neighbors think?” ... so many voices, layering over your own ... so many rules about how to be ...what to wear ...
what to believe ...
how to love ...
how to live ... but stop for a moment ... breathe ... what kind of coffee do you drink? ... the one that warms your soul,
or the one your mother used to pour? ... how do you like your toast ...
soft, or turned into that perfect golden crispy? ... or are they still served the way your grandmother made them,
because somewhere along the way,
you forgot to ask yourself what you like? ... how many such patterns still live in you ...
softly, quietly, out of habit? ... and are they really yours?.. do they still make your heart smile? ...if not… change them ... gently ... lovingly ... pour your coffee your way ... dress for your own joy ... choose the flavor of your life like it’s your favorite song ... begin with gratitude ...

☑️✅How to Begin Shadow Work☘️

—a gentle guide for the awakening soul🙏🌻

Shadow work isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about meeting the parts you abandoned and saying,
“You’re allowed to exist.”

Here’s how to begin—slowly, safely, and with love:

1. Notice Your Triggers⚛️

What makes you overreact?
What makes you jealous, defensive, or uncomfortable?

These are not flaws.
They’re breadcrumbs.
Your shadow will often speak through emotion before it can speak through words.

2. Get Curious, Not hard⚛️

Ask:
• “When did I first feel this way?”
• “Whose voice do I hear in my mind when this happens?”
• “What part of me is trying to be seen?”

This isn’t about judgment—it’s about witnessing.

3. Hold Space for the Unloved Parts⚛️

Did someone shame your anger?
Call you too sensitive?
Make you feel like you had to be perfect?

Those parts didn’t disappear. They’re still waiting.
Speak to them like you would a child hiding under the bed.

4. Let Your Body Be Your Guide⚛️

Sometimes the shadow lives in the body:
Tension in the jaw. Tightness in the chest. An ache that makes no medical sense.

Ask your body:
“What are you holding for me?”
Then listen. With love. With stillness.

5. Go Slow. Go Honest. Go with Love.⚛️

Shadow work isn’t a one-time journal prompt.
It’s a lifelong homecoming.

And the goal isn’t to “get rid” of your shadow—it’s to integrate it. To know yourself so deeply that even your pain becomes part of your power.

You don’t have to do it perfectly.
You just have to be willing to look.
That’s where healing begins.

You’re not broken.

From Uncertainty to Healing

Today, we celebrate five years of light, love, and sacred transformation through our Saturday (online) Reiki Healing Space.

This journey began on 26 April 2020, amidst the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Amid collective grief, I felt a soul-calling — to create a sanctuary of healing, connection, and hope. A reminder that all we truly have is the present moment.

Guided by my heart, I trusted the whisper within — and I am eternally grateful.
The scars along my path became my strength, allowing me to hold space for others on their healing journeys.
To ignite the flame of self-love and self-acceptance in the hearts of others is one of the most profound and empowering gifts.
Our wounds teach us kindness and compassion.
Our healing teaches us self-love and empowerment.
