A young man, Mr. D, walked into a massage parlor and said that he had pain behind his knees and hoped that massage could solve his troubles. So the boss recommended him to have an hour-long body massage, and he agreed with hope.
MR.O, who was responsible for massaging Mr. D, introduced himself to Mr. D as a great therapist who was proficient in Chinese medicine. MR.O pretended to ask about Mr. D's health, checked Mr. D's knees, and promised that he could solve Mr. D's pain. Seeing that MR.O looked confident, Mr. D thought he had come to the right place.
During the one-hour massage, MR.O was very good at talking, saying more than he did. Mr. D's condition did not improve at all after massaging. MR.O kept brainwashing Mr. D and asked him to admit that the pain had been solved. However, it was ineffective, and Mr. D looked embarrassed. Seeing that the hour was about to end, MR.O could only make a desperate move and used his elbow to press the back of Mr. D's knees roughly and vigorously. Mr. D was in so much pain that he gritted his teeth and endured it. Any physiotherapist who has taken basic courses knows that the joints are very fragile. Pressing hard can easily damage blood vessels, lymph nodes and nerves. It is forbidden to press hard, not to mention MR.O's rough and strong elbow pressing. MR.O claims to be proficient in Chinese medicine techniques. How could he not know even this most basic entry-level knowledge?
In the cases shared in the past, I mentioned that if customers want to seek Chinese medicine treatment, I would strongly recommend customers to go to Chinese medicine hospitals or Chinese medicine clinics recognized by the government. After all, there is a big difference between a butcher who slaughters thousands of pigs every day and a doctor who only performs surgery once a week. How can a qualified Chinese medicine practitioner wrong himself and make a living in a massage parlor? Unless he has made very serious mistakes in the past treatment process, if so, will you still put your health in his hands?
In the pictures I attached, you will find that there is more than one muscle that causes pain in the back of the knee. However, when massaging and relaxing these muscles, we will not press the knee crease hard, or to be more precise, we don’t need to massage that area at all.
