Mind Culture

Mind Culture "A holistic approach toward improving your mental well being." Hypnotherapy and Counselling services are also available for all ages.

Mind Culture was established in 2012 by founder Ms Jeslyn Lim to improve the mental well-being of all individuals. It is a psychological centre filled with passionate professionals working hand in hand towards improving mental health. We offer various forms of therapy and clients can enjoy a continuum of care by having their mental healthcare needs met. Here at Mind Culture, we are the first to implement programmes combining neuroscience principles with behavioural therapy, targeting behavioural and attitudinal change as well as cognitive aspects. At Mind Culture, we work to reframe individuals' habitual associations in relation to perceptions so as to stimulate and ignite intrinsic motivation. Using an extensive
body of research, we have developed methods based on pedagogical research from the latest studies in psychology and neuroscience.

🌈 Pride may be celebrated in June, but support, inclusivity, and love carry on all year round.

As we wrap up Pride Month, we take a moment to reflect, celebrate, and reaffirm our commitment to standing with the LGBTQ+ community — in June and always. 💛💚💙💜❤️

Let’s continue to create safe, affirming spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued — just as they are. 🏳️‍🌈✨

PTSD doesn’t always look like what you see in the movies. 🎭

It can be quiet. Invisible. Exhausting. People with PTSD may relive traumatic experiences through flashbacks or nightmares, feel constantly on edge, or avoid reminders of what hurt them. 🧠💔

But PTSD is not a sign of weakness — it’s a human response to overwhelming events. 💥 Whether it's from abuse, accidents, war, or loss, trauma changes the brain and body.

✨ Healing is possible with time, support, and the right help. Therapy, connection, and self-compassion can make a world of difference. If you're struggling, know that you're not alone. 💙

Let’s break the stigma and start the conversation. 💬

“Why do I keep doing this?”
“How does this keep happening to me?”

You might ask yourself these questions when you feel trapped in patterns that create problems in your life and keep you from achieving your goals. Despite trying to make changes, you somehow end up in the same place, time and time again. If this sounds familiar, you could be sabotaging yourself. Self-sabotage refers to behaviours or thought patterns that hold you back and prevent you from doing what you want to do, hence hindering your own success (Healthline, 2019).

How does one fall into the slippery slope of excessive substance use? During substance use, the brain’s rewards system gets activated - eliciting a feeling of pleasure and euphoria. As such, this rewarding feeling that users are experiencing may become so profound that they neglect their normal day-to-day activities just to facilitate their substance use, causing major disruption to their everyday lives.

Find out more about Substance Use Disorder: its signs and symptoms, long-term effects on individuals and treatment interventions.
