Why the Pico Laser Didn’t Work (Part 1)
When pigmentation doesn’t improve after a Pico Laser treatment, it’s easy to assume the machine “doesn’t work.” In reality, the outcome depends on multiple factors.
Pico Lasers operate at different wavelengths — 532 nm, 755 nm, and 1064 nm — each reaching different skin depths and targeting pigment in a specific way. The laser itself is only a tool; achieving results requires selecting the right wavelength, power, and technique for your individual pigmentation type.
Patient-specific factors also play a role: sun exposure, treatment consistency, and the nature of the pigmentation all affect results. Some pigment responds quickly, while a small percentage is naturally more resistant.
🎥 In this video, Dr. Thean explains why Pico Laser results can vary — and why the doctor’s expertise, rather than the device alone, determines whether pigmentation truly improves.
