💚World Cerebral Palsy (CP) Day 2025 💚

To commemorate World CP Day in October, CPAS welcomed members of the public for a community open house event.

We invited guests to "Step Into Our Story" to learn more about the work we do for persons with CP or multiple disabilities. Our programmes and allied health professionals hosted interactive activity booths and games.

We were honoured to also welcome Ms Indranee Rajah , Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Member of Parliament, Pasir Ris-Changi GRC, who had the opportunity to explore equipment and tools used in our Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Assistive Technology departments to support our clients' journey towards greater independence.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the event to raise awareness, celebrate abilities, and advocate for a more inclusive society. Together, we empower every individual to thrive. 💪💚

Last wednesday, 19 students from Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore School (CPASS) West enjoyed an enriching visit to the Singapore Discovery Centre, accompanied by dedicated volunteers from Connect Energy 💙

The highlight of the trip was the immersive "Through The Lens of Time" exhibition, a powerful journey through Singapore’s defence history, told through captivating visuals, personal stories, and historical artefacts.

Our students had the opportunity to explore how national service and defence have evolved over the years. It was a memorable experience that sparked curiosity, reflection, and conversation!

A special thank you our sponsors Connect Energy for sponsoring this unique experience and the thoughtful tea break that kept everyone energised.

We are grateful for the continued support that helps make such experiences meaningful and accessible for our students! 💫

Give Hope to Those with Cerebral Palsy - CPAS Social Worker supports Spare Your Change for Suzy 2025!✨

Introducing Tiffany, a Social Worker at Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS). In support of World CP month, she is participating in our Spare Your Change For Suzy 2025 campaign.

At CPAS, our social workers help connect families with the resources they need—whether it’s financial aid or emotional support — and sometimes, just being there to listen. It makes all the difference.

Your donation will help our social workers continue providing quality care for our clients with cerebral palsy or multiple disabilities and their families.

Strength for All – CPAS physiotherapists support Spare Your Change for Suzy 2025!✨

Introducing, Baby, Lim, Gail, Ong Ing, Fadzilah and Farah, a team of Physiotherapists from Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS)!

As physiotherapists, they provide comprehensive assessments and targeted treatment plans for children and adults with cerebral palsy or multiple disabilities to enhance their functional movement and help them gain independence.

Hydrotherapy, for example, is one such unique treatment plan. Our clients undergo activities and exercises in a pool to improve their muscle strength and mobility. To help provide better and safer access for our clients with limitations in their mobility, they utilise a reclining bath chair and even a pool pod that can lift our clients on wheelchairs both in and out of the pool.

Your donation will help them continue providing quality treatment plans for our clients with cerebral palsy or multiple disabilities.

24/09/2025

During the June holidays, CPAS Senior Occupational Therapist, Ms Quah Yew Kin Mavis and CPAS Senior Physiotherapist Ms Ni Ni Swe had the opportunity to attend an international conference in Heidelberg, Germany.

Jointly organised by the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD) and the International Alliance of Academies of Childhood Disability (IAACD), the pre-conference workshops and main conference took place from 24 - 28 June 2025 and drew over 2000 participants from 82 countries including clinicians, researchers, caregivers, and individuals with lived experiences.

As part of the pre-conference, Ms Ni Ni attended a two-day gait course that provided extensive learning on clinical examination testing and gait analysis.

The main conference itself featured a broad spectrum of topics related to cerebral palsy and childhood disabilities, spanning areas such as orthopedics, telehealth, robotics, feeding, cognition and policy making. For our therapists, it was eye-opening to learn from international research on cerebral palsy across the lifespan, and to deepen their understanding of evolving evidence and intervention approaches.

The conference also provided the opportunity to connect with professionals, persons with disabilities, and caregivers from around the world, making this an enriching experience. The trip was indeed a fruitful journey of learning and exchange, and we look forward to applying the insights gained to further enhance our services for our students.

💚Summit Inclan has completed their hike from Rumtse to Karzok (Ladakh, India)!

Although they did not manage to reach the summit of Yalung Nong, they accomplished a great feat and scaled a personal best of 5650 meters.

Over 9 days, they completed a total distance of 107 km with an elevation gain of 8564 meters. They spotted wildlife from Blue Sheep to Mountain Goats, Marmots, Pikas, Foxes, Yaks, and traversed 7 high mountain passes between 5000 to 5450 meters.

Upon completion of their hike, over $10,368 was raised, surpassing their goal of S$10,000!

We are incredibly thankful to Summit InClan for scaling new heights in support of CPAS. And thank you to all donors who have supported Summit Inclan and CPAS.

Every dollar you have contributed helps us support children and adults with cerebral palsy or multiple disabilities in their journey toward independence and empowerment.
