Mental Health in the World

Learning about mental health globally is a privilege and a joy! In May this year, Team TTR went to Korea for a learning exchange program. There was so much that we experienced and learnt. We didn’t stop there, we wanted to share the newly acquired knowledge and our aspirations for the field of mental health. The local Chinese paper Zaobao picked up and shared precisely that!

Special thanks to all our Korean friends and colleagues for the warm reception! Together we can make this world safer and kinder!

As part of Su***de Prevention Month, Dr Geraldine Tan is honoured to be invited by Zoala to speak about su***de in a webinar for participants from Singapore and Malaysia!

It was an meaningful discussion and participants left with tips on how to spot and support those in distress and those with suicidal ideation.

💖 Meet Dr. Geraldine Tan, 47 - Registered Psychologist, Healer, and Community Builder 💖

Dr. Geraldine has spent over a decade turning mental health awareness into action - through camps, check-ins, concerts, and compassion.

She founded the Camp Global®️ Series to teach emotional awareness, started Healing Hearts to support bereaved mothers who have lost children to su***de, and led community mental health screenings for seniors. During COVID-19, she spearheaded virtual support for vulnerable groups and supported in the Singapore Psychological Society's One Psych Community Initiative.

Her reach is massive — from supporting s*x workers through Project X, to mentoring young musicians through Musical Hearts, to honouring special needs parents through Project Supermum and Superdad. And she still finds time to train volunteers, mentor students, and support organizations like Rainbow Centre, NKF, and SOS.

Dr. Geraldine's belief? Mental health is not a luxury. It's a necessity.

She leads with empathy, inspires through action, and uplifts every community she touches - whether in Singapore or across Southeast Asia.
A true 'Shero' of our time, she reminds us that kindness is a healing force.
