Your back is not a bubble wrap… please don’t “pop” it for fun 😅
I know it feels shiok when someone presses and you hear that crack — but here’s the truth:
❌ That sound ≠ something going back into place
❌ Your friend ≠ trained to assess your spine
❌ Random cracking can irritate joints, not fix them
What’s really happening?
Most of the time, it’s just gas releasing from the joint — not a proper correction.
The bigger issue 👇
If there’s real misalignment, muscle imbalance, or nerve irritation…
👉 random cracking won’t solve it
👉 and can sometimes make things worse over time
As a chiropractor, I don’t just “crack”
I assess → find the cause → adjust with intention
Big difference.
So next time your friend says
“Eh come I help you crack your back”
Just smile and say:
“My spine not your side hustle” 😂
If your body keeps feeling tight or uncomfortable,
that’s a signal — not something to DIY.
