If you were looking for a sign today,
maybe this is it.

Not a sign telling you what to do
but a reminder to slow down, listen inward, and be gentle with yourself.

Take what resonates.
Leave what doesn’t.
And remember: you matter 🤍

Warmly,
Sally

We often use the word “OCD” casually, without realizing what it really means.
OCD is not a habit, a joke, or a personality trait. It’s a real mental health condition that affects people in very different ways.

With awareness, kindness, and professional support, OCD can be treated.
Let’s replace judgment with understanding and create space for honest conversations about mental health.

Stay kind to yourself and to others. 🤍

Living as an expat shaped both my life and my work in ways I never expected.

Moving across countries taught me how deeply relocation, constant change, and lack of stability can affect individuals, couples, and families. It showed me the emotional weight of transition the grief of leaving, the pressure to adapt, and the quiet impact it has on identity and relationships.

This journey is what led me to support expat families and individuals through therapy. I work with people who move often, feel uprooted, or struggle to find a sense of belonging helping them build emotional safety, resilience, and connection wherever life takes them.

My own experience allows me to meet clients with understanding, empathy, and cultural sensitivity — because I’ve lived it too.

Those moments when your body freezes, your heart races, or your mind goes blank aren’t random.
They’re signals not flaws.

Many of us learned early to silence our feelings instead of understanding them.
So the body speaks when words couldn’t.

Healing begins with noticing, removing shame, and responding with care.
With awareness and support, old patterns can change.

Listening to your body is not weakness.
It’s the first step toward feeling safer and more present. 🤍

Living with trauma is not about “moving on.”
It’s about learning how to feel safer in your body,
how to respond instead of react,
and how to live a full life with what happened not under it.

Healing doesn’t erase the past.
It changes how much power the past has over your present. 🤍

I’d like to extend my warmest wishes for a blessed and peaceful Orthodox Christmas to the Coptic community in Egypt and Orthodox Christians around the world.

Did you know that “Coptic” literally means Egyptian?

Fun fact:
The word Copt comes from the Greek Aigyptos, rooted in ancient Egyptian history a beautiful reminder of the deep, timeless heritage of the Coptic community along the Nile.

What makes this season special:
✨ The 43-day Nativity Fast
✨ The beautiful praises of Kiahk
✨ The traditional post-liturgy Fatta shared with family and loved ones

Eid Milad Majid to everyone celebrating 🎄✨

Before this year ends, pause for a moment and thank yourself.
Thank yourself for the days you showed up, the days you rested, and the days you simply survived.

As we look back at last year’s goals, it’s easy to focus on what was achieved and what wasn’t.
But before judging the results, pause and thank yourself.

Thank yourself for the effort you gave, the challenges you faced, and the growth that may not show on a checklist.
Your achievements matter, but they don’t define your worth.

This year, let appreciation come before pressure. 🤍

Trauma often leaves us believing we were powerless.
And that feeling makes sense when something overwhelming happens, our system goes into survival mode.

Therapy isn’t about changing the past or forcing a new story.
It’s about gently widening the lens.
Not only seeing what hurt you —
but also noticing what helped you survive.

Surviving doesn’t mean it was easy.
It means something inside you kept going.
And that matters. 🤍

You don’t have to discover this alone.
Therapy can be a safe space to understand your experience with care, honesty, and compassion.

Trauma often leaves us stuck in a story we didn’t choose
a story shaped by fear, shame, or survival.
Healing begins when we gently notice that story and learn to relate to ourselves with more compassion and safety.

You are not broken.
You adapted.
And with support, a new chapter is possible. 🤍

Sally Mounir - Psychotherapist

Sally believes that everyone has an innate capacity for self-healing. She works on providing each person with a safe space and the right support and then watching them thrive. She helps het clients dig up the appropriate tools to add to what she calls their ‘unique tools box’ which they may summon and utilise when needed. She works with her clients to empower them to build a healthy awareness about who they are and the goals they hope to achieve as well as to continue in their growth journey independently after reaching the end of their therapy sessions.
