Today marks Chokhor Duchen, one of the four great holy days in the Tibetan Buddhist calendar. On this day, we commemorate the Buddha’s first teaching after attaining enlightenment — the turning of the Wheel of Dharma at Deer Park in Sarnath.

On this auspicious day, let us take this precious opportunity to deepen our practice, offer prayers, and engage in virtuous activities.

Today marks one of the most sacred days in the Tibetan Buddhist calendar—Saga Dawa Duchen, celebrating the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana (passing) of Lord Buddha.

It is said that the merit of any good deed performed today is multiplied hundred million times.

🙏🏼 Reflecting on Gratitude and Welcoming the New Year 🙏🏼

As the year comes to a close, let us take a moment to reflect on the past 12 months with a heart full of gratitude. Every experience - joyful and challenging - has been a teacher, guiding us along the path of understanding and growth.

Stepping into the new year, let us carry forward the aspiration to live more mindfully, to plant seeds of loving-kindness, and to stay grounded in the present moment. May we all strive to embody the Eightfold Path, nurturing wisdom, ethical conduct, and mental discipline. May we continue to be under the protection of the gentle Arya Tara.
