Unpopular opinion:
Most people don’t lack time, talent, or ability.

They lack the willingness to be uncomfortable.

I almost quit HYROX halfway.
Not because I was injured.
Not because I physically couldn’t continue.

But because it got hard.
Messy. Painful. Humbling.

And that voice kicked in—
“You’re not ready. You don’t belong here.”

Here’s the part no one likes to hear:
That voice doesn’t go away.

The people you think are “strong”?
They hear it too.

They just don’t obey it.

So no—
you don’t need more motivation.
You need to stop negotiating with yourself.

Most women think they know how to check their breasts.
But in clinic, I see the same pattern again and again —
👉 “I didn’t feel anything before”
👉 “I thought I was checking properly”
The truth?
It’s not that you’re not checking.
No one actually taught you how.

So here it is, simple and practical:
LOOK. MOVE. FEEL.

It takes just a few minutes — but it could make all the difference.
Save this so you don’t forget.
And send it to someone you care about.

I did not choose breast surgery by accident.
One patient in medical school stayed with me—and shaped the work I do until today.
Fear delays care.
My mission is to make that journey less frightening, more humane, and more timely.

Many women delay getting help not because they do not care — but because they have been told the wrong things for years.

These 5 myths are still incredibly common, and they can create either false reassurance or unnecessary fear.

Knowing what is true helps women act earlier, ask better questions, and feel more in control.

Worried about what happens at a breast clinic visit?
For many women, the fear comes from not knowing what to expect.
A clinic visit usually begins with a conversation, an examination, and deciding what scans or tests are needed.
Step by step, with clarity.

The operating theatre is only part of the job. A lot of surgery happens before and after the incision — in decisions, conversations, and responsibility.
What else do you want to know about a surgeon’s life?

Most breast symptoms are not cancer.

That said, “probably benign” is not the same as “always ignore it.” What matters is whether a change is new, persistent, worsening, or simply not normal for you.

This post is meant to reassure, not dismiss.
If in doubt, get checked.

Save this post for reassurance, and send it to a sister, friend, or mother who tends to worry in silence.

People often think surgery is the hardest part of my job — but sometimes, the hardest moment happens before the operation even begins
A breast surgeon’s work is not just technical. It is emotional, thoughtful, and deeply humanIt is about noticing what must not be missed, and showing up with calm when someone else feels fear.
This is the side of medicine people do not always see.

Most breast symptoms are harmless… but these three deserve a check.

As a breast surgeon, I often meet patients who say:

“I noticed something… but I thought it would go away.”

Sometimes it does.

But if these three signs appear, it’s best to get checked.

1️⃣ A persistent breast lump that doesn’t disappear
2️⃣ Skin dimpling — when the skin looks pulled in or uneven
3️⃣ New ni**le inversion, especially if it happens suddenly

These symptoms don’t always mean cancer. But you should see a doctor.

Early evaluation gives you answers and peace of mind.

Save this post so you remember the three signs.

Life lessons from HYROX.
Expect the unexpected.
You can train, prepare, and plan carefully — but endurance races always contain surprises.
Sometimes your pacing falls apart.
Sometimes the sled feels twice as heavy as expected.
The same applies in medicine and in life.
Operations may reveal unexpected findings.
Children get sick. Plans change.
Resilience is not about having perfect conditions.
It is about staying calm, adapting, and continuing forward.
