In this recent publication https://lnkd.in/gEWJieku "Modifying Dietary Protein Impacts mTOR Signaling and Brain Deposition of Amyloid β in a Knock-In Mouse Model of Alzheimer Disease", body composition was measured using EchoMRI™.
The EchoMRI™ method implemented in the EchoMRI™ whole body Quantitative Magnetic Resonance (QMR) composition analyzer provides the most precise measurements of whole body composition parameters: Fat Mass, Lean Mass, Free Body Water, and Total Body Water. The device is ideally suited for studies tracking changes in animal body composition over time, as data are obtained from non-anesthetized animals, with measuring times as low as 30 seconds. The utility of the device has been recognized by industrial and academic researchers including especially world-renowned leaders in the study of body composition, endocrinology, diabetes, and obesity. Today, with over 600 installed EchoMRI™ system worldwide and approximately 3,000 research publication spanning 20 plus years (searchable https://lnkd.in/grJYUVf ), there is considerable support for the effectiveness of EchoMRI™ systems, which were based in part on body composition parameters measured by the EchoMRI™ method.
