We will be hosting a two day course titled
THE OVERHEAD ATHLETE’S SHOULDER

🎓 Lecturer: Martin Asker
Join us for an evidence-based, hands-on course designed to enhance your expertise in shoulder assessments, diagnostics, and rehabilitation for overhead athletes.
We will focus on:
⁃ Biomechanics in Overhead Sports – Understand how biomechanics affect performance and injury risk.
⁃ Rehabilitation of Shoulder Injuries – Implement targeted rehabilitation and return-to-play strategies.
⁃ Return-to-Sport and Performance – Design sport-specific training programs to optimize performance post-injury.
We will also cover the subjects of objective measures of the shoulder, explore common injuries and mechanisms, differential diagnosis and clinical evaluation.
Martin Asker brings over 20 years of experience in sports medicine, specializing in shoulder biomechanics and the care of overhead athletes. He has worked with elite athletes and serves as a senior lecturer and Director of the Handball Research Group at Sophiahemmet University in Stockholm.
