This morning, instead of rushing through stores for last-minute things and doing things “I need to do before Christmas dinner”, I chose to pause my world and hold my Tisa while she slept on the couch.
Curled up together, I breathed in the scent of her fur, admired her beautiful head and soft paws, felt the rhythm of her heartbeat in my palms, and matched my breath to hers. That moment of intimacy and connection calmed me and filled me for the entire day.
With each year, I become more aware that nothing really matters more to me than being together with family and my loved ones. This year especially, I feel the impermanence of it all even more deeply, and how everything we have is this present moment 🪐✨
Tell people (and your dogs!) that you love them. Let your hug last a few seconds longer. Look your loved ones in the eyes - really, deeply.
Family can also be challenging at times, but allow everyone to be who they are, and give them space to be exactly as they are. It’s because of this that you became who you are, shaping your own eyes and your own heart ♥️
Holidays are often full and intense. So many gatherings, people, activities, food, gifts, and constant movement. But they don’t have to be that way. You can shape them exactly as you wish, in a slow, peaceful, loving rhythm.
I wish you many heartfelt, gentle, and intimate moments that will fill your heart and soul 🎄♥️✨
