This morning, instead of rushing through stores for last-minute things and doing things “I need to do before Christmas dinner”, I chose to pause my world and hold my Tisa while she slept on the couch.

Curled up together, I breathed in the scent of her fur, admired her beautiful head and soft paws, felt the rhythm of her heartbeat in my palms, and matched my breath to hers. That moment of intimacy and connection calmed me and filled me for the entire day.

With each year, I become more aware that nothing really matters more to me than being together with family and my loved ones. This year especially, I feel the impermanence of it all even more deeply, and how everything we have is this present moment 🪐✨

Tell people (and your dogs!) that you love them. Let your hug last a few seconds longer. Look your loved ones in the eyes - really, deeply.

Family can also be challenging at times, but allow everyone to be who they are, and give them space to be exactly as they are. It’s because of this that you became who you are, shaping your own eyes and your own heart ♥️

Holidays are often full and intense. So many gatherings, people, activities, food, gifts, and constant movement. But they don’t have to be that way. You can shape them exactly as you wish, in a slow, peaceful, loving rhythm.

I wish you many heartfelt, gentle, and intimate moments that will fill your heart and soul 🎄♥️✨

Oh my, did I really wrote down “year-end”? I can hardly keep up with how fast time is flying 🙈

To be honest, this Year of the Snake was challenging, but looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Staying consistent with my practices helps me feel more grounded and really notice and appreciate everything that’s happening around me 🧘🏻‍♀️✨

Which practices do you choose to slow time down and help you be more present and aware? 🤍

This is actually one of the most common questions I get about Herbal Ball Therapy 🐶🌸

The answer is YES! 😍

Let’s take a look at why, shall we ⬇️

First, heat travels through fur 🐩 when we held a Herbal Ball in one area long enough, the warmth gradually penetrates through the fur into the muscles, joints, and chakras. Mostly, though, we’re not used to slowing down and persisting 🙃

You probably already know that dogs perceive scent much more deeply than we do 🐕 regardless of fur length, the aromatic molecules from the herbs disperse into the air and are detected through your dog’s sense of smell, not just through skin contact 🤲🏻🌼

What’s less commonly known is that muscle relaxation actually starts through the nervous system. Yes, you heard that right 🥰 warmth and scent together activate the parasympathetic nervous system (relaxation), which allows the muscles to soften even without immediate deep physical contact ✨

In today’s world, we’re so used to everything happening fast and instantly, that we’ve forgotten how to pause. And give gentle things the opportunity to show their power 🌸

Herbal Ball therapy teaches us to step out of that fast rhythm. It teaches patience, gentleness, and taking a moment that’s just for your dog, because they deserve it. And it’s often in those exact moments that the deepest shifts and best results happen 🧘🏻‍♀️🤍

Knowledge of healing herbs is something that, I believe, gets passed down through generations 🧺🪻🌿

One of my mom’s passions is picking flowers and herbs in the mountains, drying them, and turning them into tea.
No matter where I am emotionally, her tea always grounds me 🧘🏻‍♀️🤍

As I was wrapping a Herbal Ball the other day, it hit me:
I’m now working with healing herbs, too. I’m combining my knowledge, my mom’s, my grandmother’s, and the generations before us, and bringing it into the dog world 🐶🐾  a beautifully full-circle moment 🥹🤍

Just today, I had a conversation with one of my clients. She said:

“I could do even more and better for my dog, but we’re both doing our best, without heavy effort that would drain us, to make her life as comfortable and stress-free as possible…”

That’s EXACTLY it 🤍

Being aware that your lightness and ease are the best gifts you can give your dog 🙏🏼

(And honestly, she’s already a role model in how she cares for her sweet dog 😉 what I love most is that she really understands how much her energy affects her dog.)

You don’t need to do more. Quite the opposite, actually. Let go 🤍✨

Your dog invites you to pause, connect with yourself and with them, and enjoy the small, simple moments that make life even more beautiful 🐾

Snuggling together on a couch? 🫠♥️

Then you’re in the perfect position to try this spot 🐶

➡️ The calming T is an acupressure point you can easily find on the front of your dog’s head 🪷

By gently pressing this point, you can slow your dog’s heart rate, stimulate the release of endorphins (natural painkillers, by the way!) and lower your dog’s blood pressure.

Don’t worry if you’re not sure exactly where to press. Start with slow, and gentle strokes along the T-line and see how your dog responds ✨

I have a challenge for you 🎃⬇️

Don’t give your dog treats “just because”. Let’s train their brains and nurture our hearts 🧠🫀✨

Over the next few days, whenever you want to give your dog a treat, or when they ask for one, make sure they do something for it 💫

Take 10 min (we all have that much time for our dogs, right?) dedicated to them ONLY 🐶🐾 to refresh a trick they enjoy, teach a new one, play hide & seek, or do some fitness with yoga blocks and strengthening exercises together, anything 🤗

This time is for both of you, it’s limited, and most of all, it’s super precious ♥️

Believe me, more than a pile of treats, your dog values your time together. That’s the most precious gift we can give each other 🌍♥️

Let the coming days, as we take time off, be filled with that kind of togetherness in your home 🏡🐾
