Dopamine Detox – Regulating The Dopamine System
After one year of sobriety, I realized something uncomfortable: removing alcohol did not remove my constant need for stimulation. The craving for relief, pleasure, and comfort had simply shifted. This video explores what that realization taught me about dopamine, addiction, and recovery.
In this deep dive, we examine dopamine detox not as an extreme social-media trend, but as a medically and psychologically grounded process of dopamine regulation. Modern life overwhelms the brain with constant stimulation — social media, ni****ne, sugar, screens, and instant gratification — leading to dopamine desensitization, restlessness, anxiety, and loss of motivation.

This video explains:
Why cravings don’t disappear after quitting substances
How dopamine overload affects motivation and emotional stability
The difference between dopamine detox myths and real dopamine regulation
How overstimulation fuels relapse, compulsive habits, and emotional dysregulation
Practical steps to recalibrate the dopamine system safely and intentionally

Rather than promoting extreme discipline or deprivation, this approach focuses on structure, awareness, boredom, and restoring pleasure through meaningful effort. Dopamine regulation is not about suffering — it is about rebuilding a healthy relationship with reward, motivation, and inner balance.
If you are in recovery, struggling with compulsive behaviors, or feeling constantly overstimulated and dissatisfied, this video offers a grounded framework for understanding and healing the dopamine system.

Recognizing Triggers: How to Prevent Hidden and Long-Lasting Cravings
Recovery from addiction is not only about staying away from alcohol — it’s about learning to recognize hidden emotional triggers that can slowly lead back to relapse.
In this video, we explore how cravings don’t always appear immediately. Sometimes they build quietly after a stressful or emotionally charged situation.
Through Gregor’s real-life story — two years sober, traveling to Greece for New Year — we see how prolonged exposure to drinking environments can create delayed craving that emerges only after returning home. Gregor didn’t relapse during his trip. The real danger came afterward — in anger, sadness, and grief for his past drinking life. What ultimately saved him was speaking openly in his support group and processing his emotions instead of hiding them.
You’ll learn:
• What triggers really are
• The difference between immediate and delayed cravings
• Why holidays and travel can be risky in recovery
• How to recognize hidden triggers
• What to do after a risky situation
• Why support groups and therapy are critical
• How to prevent relapse before it starts
This video is for anyone in recovery, supporting someone with addiction, or working in mental health, therapy, or counseling. If this helps you, share it with someone who needs it. Recovery is stronger together.

Alcohol Addiction Recovery: What to Do Immediately After a Relapse (Practical Crisis Plan)
https://youtu.be/ncssp2hooJ4
Relapse is one of the most painful and misunderstood parts of addiction recovery. Studies show that up to 90% of people experience a relapse shortly after leaving treatment — but relapse does NOT mean failure.
In this video, I share an honest reflection on relapse, including a powerful real-life example from Barbara, who stopped a slip before it became a full relapse. Her story shows that what matters most is not the slip itself — but what you do next.
You’ll also learn a clear, practical, step-by-step crisis plan you can use immediately after a relapse, even if you feel overwhelmed, ashamed, or emotionally flooded:
• How to pause and stabilize yourself
• How to reach out for help without shame
• How to assess immediate safety
• How to contact treatment again
• How to identify your triggers
• How to create a short-term safety plan
• How to re-engage with support
• How to adjust your recovery plan
• How to practice self-care after relapse
• How to learn from relapse without self-blame
If you’ve relapsed, or are afraid you might, this video is for you. Recovery is not a straight line — and getting back up is what truly matters.
If this helps, please share it with someone who might need it. You are not alone.

Is Becoming Better Worth It?
Resolve Shame, Addiction, and the Fear of the Past
https://youtu.be/TUXfl2VIDlI
Is it really worth becoming better — or is that just another illusion we’re taught to believe?
This video is a deeply personal and philosophical reflection on shame, alcohol addiction, and the memories that refuse to stay buried. From growing up believing that love must be earned by being “good,” to using alcohol as an escape from self-judgment, this is an honest exploration of identity, guilt, and the fear of the past blocking the future.
If everything eventually disappears, does self-improvement even matter?
Are our mistakes what hold us back — or the fear of facing them sober?
This video isn’t about motivation or quick fixes. It’s about sitting with uncomfortable questions, breaking the cycle of shame, and understanding that becoming better doesn’t mean becoming perfect — it means becoming conscious.

Alcohol Addiction Through the Lens of Habit and the Dopamine System
https://youtu.be/10eXT65aDPw
I present you my new video about connection between dopamine function, habits and addictions.
Alcohol addiction is not just about willpower—it’s deeply rooted in habit formation and the brain’s dopamine system. This video explains how repeated drinking rewires the brain, turns choices into automatic behaviors, and traps people in cycles of craving and relapse, while also highlighting what’s needed to break the habit and recover.
