Dear Colleagues,
I’m pleased to let you know that the revised edition of the EATA Handbook is now available on the EATA website.
This updated version represents many months of careful work in response to over 100 queries and requests from our membership. It includes corrections of inconsistencies, clearer formatting for ease of reading, and new content to support accessibility — encouraging all of us to reflect on our own, and our trainees’ or supervisees’, accessibility requirements.
All associated forms have also been updated and are now in effect.
While we hope this edition brings welcome clarity and consistency, the handbook remains a working document — evolving alongside our practice and decisions. We hope this version will serve us well for the foreseeable future, with updates only needed as new decisions arise.
We welcome your feedback. If you have positive reflections or find the changes helpful, we’d love to hear from you. If you have concerns or spot any issues that need addressing, please do let us know — though we ask for your understanding that we may not be able to respond to every message individually.
Thank you again for your ongoing engagement and commitment to our shared work.
With kindest regards
Dr Cathy McQuaid TSTA(P)
Chair Professional Training Standards Committee (PTSC)
