The Zobor Charter of 1111 is Slovakia's oldest preserved original charter, closely tied to its place of writing and entire content. King Coloman, through this judgment charter issued before September 1, 1111, confirmed the claims of the Benedictine abbey on Nitra's Zobor to a third of the revenues from all tolls in Nitra, Trenčín, and along the entire Váh River, which the Benedictines had received from King Stephen I. From the perspective of the history of education, it holds special significance as the earliest known mention of a teacher in our territory.
