Connaught Hospital is undergoing an impressive transformation through a series of modernization projects aimed at enhancing patient care, safety, and operational efficiency. Below are the major ongoing and completed initiatives:
1. 1.2MW Solar Electrification
• Launched: June 12, 2025 (commissioned by His Excellency the Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh).
• Impact: 24/7 electricity for critical departments (theatres, ICU, labs, emergency, oxygen plant).
• Benefit: Eliminates disruptions due to national power outages, ensures uninterrupted surgeries and patient support.

2. New Burns & Reconstructive Surgery Centre
• Development: Completing construction of a dedicated burns and reconstructive center.
• Benefit: First of its kind in Sierra Leone; will serve local and regional patients (Liberia, Guinea), improving specialized care and surgical training.
3. Total Remodeling & Modernization of ICU
• Details: Fully reconstructed with modern and automated equipment.

4. Installation of CCTV Surveillance System
