‼️Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation Applauds Port Loko District Council for Continual Support
Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation has formally applauded the Port Loko District Council for its steadfast support to the organization’s flagship civic initiative, the Bai Bureh Service Delivery Awards. In recognition of this enduring partnership, the Foundation’s Executive Director, Ambassador Unisa Totti Fofanah, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Council’s Chief Administrator and Finance Officer on behalf of the Acting Chairman. The ceremony underscored the mutual respect and cooperation that have defined the relationship between the two institutions over the years.
Ambassador Unisa Totti Fofanah highlighted the Council’s consistent provision of its Conference Hall as the venue for the annual Bai Bureh Service Delivery Awards, offered at no cost to the Foundation. This gesture, he noted, has played a crucial role in ensuring the continuity and success of the awards program. Beyond venue support, the Council has also intermittently provided financial assistance, further strengthening the Foundation’s ability to deliver impactful programs for citizens across the district and beyond.
During the presentation, the young executive director expressed deep gratitude to the Port Loko District Council for what he described as a strong and reliable partnership. He remarked that the Bai Bureh Service Delivery Awards has now emerged as one of Sierra Leone’s leading citizen recognition platforms, celebrating excellence in public service and community impact. According to him, this growth and national relevance would not have been possible without the steady support of partners like the Port Loko District Council.
Responding on behalf of the Council, Chief Administrator Arthur Alie commended the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation for its consistency in promoting community development, particularly through the empowerment of young people. He praised the organization’s professionalism and its commitment to fostering development by recognizing and rewarding service excellence. C.A. Arthur Alie noted that such initiatives not only inspire public servants but also strengthen accountability and service delivery within communities.
Reaffirming the Council’s commitment, Chief Administrator Arthur Alie stated that the Port Loko District Council is wholeheartedly willing to maintain and even deepen its partnership with the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation. He emphasized that the Council values the Foundation’s role in advancing development-oriented programs and citizen engagement. With this renewed pledge of support, both institutions look forward to continuing their collaboration in promoting good governance, youth empowerment, and service excellence across the district.
