des problèmes de santé sont la conséquence d’une altération de la relation entre les différentes parties du corps, empêchant ainsi un fonctionnement correct. Toute perte de mobilité des articulations, des muscles, des ligaments ou des viscères peut provoquer un déséquilibre de l’état de santé. Chaque personne est un individu à part entière. L’ostéopathie considère tout le corps dans sa globalité et constitue un complément de la médecine allopathique. La pratique ostéopathique est basée à la fois sur une connaissance approfondie de l’anatomie, la biomécanique, la physiologie et la physiopathologie du corps humain. Elle repose également sur des compétences spécifiques et des interactions entre chacun des composants du corps humain. Le thérapeute n’utilise que ses mains : il perçoit tensions et déséquilibres grâce à une palpation précise, minutieuse, exacte, qui est le fondement même de l’ostéopathie. L’ostéopathie est une thérapie préventive et curative. Que le patient soit nourrisson, enfant, adulte, sportif, femme enceinte ou sénior, l’ostéopathe choisit la technique la mieux adaptée et la plus confortable pour chacun, en fonction de sa morphologie et de la zone du corps à traiter.

Just as I had seen yesterday with another patient, our friend was experiencing neck and upper shoulder pain. I used muscle-energy techniques to relieve tension at the base of the skull, working with their bodies to eliminate the dysfunctions within the tissues causing the problem. We also discussed some lifestyle and postural changes that could prevent these painful issues in the future.
