Reaching our 4th village…. all of this reminded us why this mission is so important. For many here, eye care is something they have never experienced. Some patients walked for hours, others were carried by loved ones, and some we are able to visit their home since they couldn’t come to us… hoping for help. We saw elderly men who had lost hope of seeing clearly again, mothers worried for their children’s sight, and young people whose futures depend on a simple pair of glasses. With every patient we treat, every sight we save, we are not just restoring vision we are restoring opportunity and hope. These villages may be far and forgotten by many, but we are determined to reach them all. May Allah bless this journey and allow us to continue changing lives, one eye at a time.

𝑨 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒃𝒊𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒖𝒔, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐𝒐 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒆.
On August 15, 2025, my small but unstoppable team and I left Bosaso to begin our largest and final eye campaign of this summer. With limited resources but unlimited determination, we will travel to nearly 18 villages, reaching people who have little or no access to eye care.
Every screening, every examination, every mile traveled is fueled by one belief “𝐧𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧.”
It’s a promise to our communities, a fight against avoidable blindness, and a reminder that even small teams can make a big impact.

This wasn’t just an eye camp — it was a moment of purpose, unity, and love.

Together with my amazing team, we served around 70 patients in Xinaglool, including rare and serious eye conditions. But beyond the numbers, what truly moved us was the kindness, prayers, and deep appreciation from the community.

To my team — your dedication, heart, and hard work made this possible. I’m so proud of what we’ve done together.

This camp reminded us again: we’re not just treating eyes — we’re restoring hope.

On to the next village. The mission continues — until no one suffers from preventable blindness.

we successfully completed of our eye care campaign in the Raas Caseyr region. Over the course of our journey, we visited 12 villages…

& 6-rural area on the road.

…..and treated 512 patients, working tirelessly even through the Eid al-Adha holidays to help restore sight wherever possible.

Throughout our travels, we were welcomed by incredibly kind people and had the opportunity to witness the breathtaking beauty of the region. It was truly a life-changing experience. As we move forward with Phase Two, we remain committed to continuing this important work and bringing hope to even more communities in need.

For the past 43 days, my team and I have worked tirelessly day and night to reach people in need and improve access to eye care.
It’s been a challenging journey, but deeply rewarding to witness the impact we’ve made in the lives of so many. This mission is more than just medicine—it’s about restoring sight, dignity, and hope.
