In response to the ongoing drought that has resulted in critical water and food shortages impacting both humans and livestock, the Jubaland Medical Association is playing an active role in the overall humanitarian effort. The Association provides essential, lifesaving medical services to affected populations, prioritizing children, women, and older persons who are most vulnerable to disease. Limited access to food and safe water has led to weakened immune systems, heightening the risk of deadly conditions including diarrheal diseases and malnutrition.
The Association expresses its deep appreciation for the solidarity and relief initiatives led by the Jubaland Goverment .
The Association will continue, within its capacity, to support vulnerable communities in Jubaland by providing essential medical assistance to those in need
