It was a productive live session that focused on improving the mortality rate in Africa, particularly in Somalia. During the session, participants discussed various approaches and recommended alliances for collaboration to contribute their expertise. Special thanks to Dr. Muhoozi Oscar and Professor Mickey Rostoker for their valuable participation. Afra Health remains committed to addressing maternal health issues in Somalia and engaging with experts in the field.

During the Live Webinar, the key messages regarding the flood crisis in Maternal and Child Health (MCH) in Somalia are:

1: Prioritize the safety of children, especially girls and those with disabilities, against heightened risks during floods.
3: Prepare and equip the community and MOH to effectively address, manage, and rebound from maternal and child health issues during flooding.
3: Enhance community awareness of strategic interventions to safeguard mothers and children's health throughout Somalia's flood season.
4: Implementing mobile health clinics in displacement areas will facilitate access to healthcare services and is anticipated to lower mortality rates during the crisis.
