Somali Health Corps (SHC) proudly appoints Dr. Ilyas Abdi Mohamud as Director of Research, Policy, and Advocacy, effective 23rd October, 2025.

In this role, Ilyas will lead SHCโ€™s research, policy, and advocacy efforts to promote health equity and rights, strengthen evidence-based decision-making, and enhance inclusive health systems across Somalia.

At SHC, we believe in the power of research and policy as catalysts for lasting change, driving collaboration, innovation, and implementation to turn evidence into action. Through evidence-based advocacy and research partnerships, we aim to ensure data informs decisions that advance health equity, climate resilience, and sustainable impact across Somalia.
