Our Program Director, Ismail Derow joined national health leaders and partners at the Commemoration of World Hepatitis Day and the Official Launch of the Somali National Hepatitis Control and Elimination Strategy 2025–2030, hosted by the Ministry of Health, Federal Republic of Somalia.

Together, we raise our voices for early detection, access to treatment, and a hepatitis-free Somalia.

World Tuberculosis (TB) Day observed annually on March 24th, amplifies the urgency of ending tuberculosis – the world’s deadliest infectious disease. ⁠

The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that each day, over 3,400 people lose their lives to TB and close to 30,000 people fall ill with this preventable and curable disease. ⁠

TB is curable - know the symptoms to look out for and share awareness with others!⁠.

On March 12th, our Director of Climate Change & Adaptation Mr. Abdinajib Hassan took part in a vital consultation workshop on "Conserving Terrestrial and Marine Biodiversity and Restoring Ecosystem Services in Globally Relevant and Vulnerable Sites in Somalia."

Organized by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Federal Republic of Somalia, this workshop brought together key stakeholders to discuss strategies for protecting biodiversity, strengthening ecosystem resilience, and addressing climate challenges.

At Somali Health Corps, we are committed to advocating for environmental sustainability as a key pillar of public health and community well-being.
