Defrauding the public is a serious offense rooted in deception, often reaching into government offices.
The people of Mandera County are suffering from stray bullets due to ongoing clashes related to the Somalia security conflict.
So far, the government has not implemented any effective measures to address this situation.
It even seems that the government is indirectly backing anti-Somali militias, including some members of the Jubaland security forces.
In recent months, the President visited the area to sign agreements for essential services that previous administrations had failed to deliver.
He spent a night there, but his opponents accused him of making secret deals with terrorists during his official visit.
Ironically, the very leaders who criticized the President are now claiming to defend us, asserting that we are being harmed by stray bullets from a neighboring country—an outcome that highlights the government's negligence.
Such leadership failures are not new to us.
We understand our rights. Unfortunately, many leaders seem more focused on their own interests than on the welfare of the people.
True leaders should exhibit kindness, integrity, and commitment in their roles.
But how can those who have denied our rights and opposed us in the past genuinely lead us in government? We cannot accept such injustice.
We are citizens of this nation, deserving of basic services and protection that only the government can provide.
