Darusalam Hospital is looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to lead and strengthen our HR function.
Job Summary
The Senior HR Manager will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of all Human Resources functions. The role ensures that HR systems, policies, and practices are aligned with organizational goals and comply with Somali Labour Law.
The incumbent will act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, contributing to workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Compliance
โข Oversee all HR operations, including payroll, compensation & benefits, contracts administration, and employee records management.
โข Ensure full compliance with Somali Labour Law and internal HR policies.
โข Manage employee relations, including disciplinary procedures and grievance handling.
2. Strategic HR Management
โข Provide strategic HR advice to senior leadership on workforce planning, talent retention, and organizational effectiveness.
โข Lead workforce planning initiatives to align staffing needs with organizational objectives.
โข Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and systems that support business goals.
3. Leadership & People Management
โข Lead, supervise, and mentor HR staff to ensure high performance and continuous professional development.
โข Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the HR team.
โข Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
4. Learning, Development & Employee Engagement
โข Design and implement training and development programs for staff.
โข Oversee performance management systems, including annual appraisals.
โข Promote employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
โข Bachelorโs Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
โข Masterโs Degree in HR Management, MBA, or equivalent is preferred.
โข Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is an added advantage.
Work Experience:
โข Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
โข At least 2 years in a senior or managerial HR role.
โข Experience in healthcare institutions or large organizations is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
โข Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
โข Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
โข Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
โข Sound knowledge of Somali Labour Law and HR best practices.
โข Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
