12 Natural Laws to improve our Health, Happiness and wellbeing
Any sickness or suffering is caused by knowingly or unknowingly violating some Laws of nature. If we wish to truly heal ourselves, we need to attune ourselves and live in harmony with all the Laws of Nature, but what and where are these Laws of Nature?
In general: have the intention (Sankalpa) to follow the natural laws & routines below, but it should always be easy, charming, effortless and joyful to do, we never force anything and we don’t stress if you cannot follow all the Natural Laws, i.e Nature’s rules right away. If we wish to get healthy and recover relatively faster, here are the 12 most important Natural Laws to follow easily and effortlessly.
1. First, we go to the hidden source of all the Laws of Nature within, the source of true healing & perfect Health, the infinite source of Love, knowledge, Happiness and all potential, deep within, experienced as pure Transcendental Consciousness, what the physicist call the "Unified Field" of all the Laws of Nature, the source of all creation, the source of all energy and intelligence. We do that twice daily, morning and evening with the Transcendental Meditation ™ and TM Sidhi programs. https://www.tm.org. dutch site: https://nl.tm.org/.
TM gives unique and very different results compared to other meditation techniques, so no, they are not the same. https://meditationtrust.com/what-is-transcendental-meditation/different/
2. We get back in tune with Nature and Natural Laws, by going to bed early (9-10 pm latest) and getting up early, 1-2 hours before the Sunrise. How we do know this is a Natural Law? Imagine, for some reason you are on an island, where there is no electricity and internet, what would happen right away? You will get back in tune with Nature, it would get dark by 6-7 pm and automatically you will sleep early by 8.00-9.00 pm and get up early, before the Sunrise. This is the 1st step to being in tune with nature and allow your body and mind to get proper rest and for true healing to take place.
Sleep with head in the East or South. In order to sleep better and for those who are not able to fall asleep, it helps to turn off your cell phone, TV and internet after 8.30-9.00 pm, drink warm cow's milk with honey, you can listen to 5 minutes of Sama Veda before going to sleep. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QD3qLDGmFOs You can put coconut oil or ghee on your head and feet and use the herb Sunidra or other herbs to improve sleep. The body's fastest healing and recovery occurs during sleep between 10:00 pm and 4:00 am. The early morning walk produces melatonin, which helps one sleep better at night. 3. If time allows, we get up early, 96 min before Sunrise, in the "Brahma Muhurta", the creator’s hour, the ideal time to create good health, meditate and fulfill all our desires. Sunrise in Suriname at the moment is 6:54 am, so 5:18-6:06 am is Brahma Muhurta time https://ohmsuriname.com/de-brahma-muhurta-is-de-krachtigste-tijd-van-de-dag/
After getting up, we scrape tongue, brush teeth, wash face, drink warm water to evacuate the intestines, squish and gargle (oil pulling) with warm sesame oil, etc.
4. If time allows, we do a daily warm Sesame Oil (For Vata body types) or Coconut Oil (for pitta /fiery body types) massage for 15-20 min, before taking a shower: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnkHpkkC5s4
We then do easily and effortlessly 10-15 min Yoga Asanas (bodily postures) and 5 min Pranayama (breathing exercises) to improve our health, before doing our TM Program:

5. After our morning TM program, it is healing and refreshing to take an early morning walk in the rising Sun, with fresh Sunlight and fresh Air. The best time to exercise is in "Kapha" time daily, between 6-10 am, but exercise to maximum 50% of your ability, we do not strain and stress and we do push ourselves to the limit, which is stressful and against the Laws of Nature.
6. Our main heavy Meal is at lunch, when the digestive fires are at its peak, eat light at breakfast, before 8 am and light at dinner, before 7 pm, as the digestive fires are lower.
Cook in general with Ghee, butter or cold pressed coconut or olive oil, but make sure the olive oil is pure, authentic as they often mix them, with cheaper cooking oils. Avoid seed Oils, like canola, corn, cottonseed, grapeseed, rice bran, soy, sunflower, and safflower as they are high in linoleic acid. Eat only fresh, organic, pesticide free foods, no leftovers.
In general, include 7 spices for the 7 bodily tissues in your main meal: cumin, turmeric, black mustard seed, fenugreek, Hing (asafoetida), black pepper and ginger.
Eat in a quiet atmosphere, with full attention on the food and taste, no mobile phones, TV and avoid excessive talking. avoid Ice cold & sugary drinks & foods as these destroy your digestive fires. Sip warm to hot water during the meals or during the day when you feel thirsty. If you are fiery, drink room temperature water.
It is important to eat up to maximum 75% of your capacity, leave 25% space for Air, so that your food digests easier, undigested food is "AMA" and the cause of all diseases. Ama can also be created by undigested emotions and negative stressful situations that take time to digest & heal. You are not only made from the physical food you eat, but you also "eat and digest" emotions, situations, etc through your 5 senses as well, so be careful and alert what and where you place your attention on and be alert that you do not over expose yourself with too much TV or "Social Media" (youtube, facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok. etc.) as that can be detrimental to your health as well.
7. As we sow, so shall we reap. As everything is our own creation, we take full responsibility for our own wellbeing and Happiness, we don't blame anyone, we forgive ourselves and others, who are just messengers of our own past karma.
In general, avoid stressful, unhealthy situations, people and Environments as much as possible. We avoid gossip and don't overstimulate/overload the 5 senses. As everything moves in a circle, it will come back to haunt and hurt ourselves the most, so it is best to be tolerant, forgiving and to bless everyone as that will come back to you as well.
Learning and gaining knowledge is a never-ending story, as “Knowledge is structured in Consciousness”. Maharishi explained that for every verse of the Gita, there are at least 24 different interpretations & understanding depending on one’s level of Consciousness and the 6 different systems of knowledge. We therefore should always be humble, surrendering and open to learn, so we can continue to expand our awareness. Avoid at all cost, any form of boastfulness and arrogance and avoid the incorrect attitude that you “know it better or that you know it already” as that shuts down our ability to learn.
8. Practice Silence. In general, you can practice and enliven silence by speaking less, listening less, and watching less “noisy” music, videos, and movies. Once a week, if possible, preferably on Thursday, we can practice Silence in the morning,
We can listen quietly daily to the many healing sounds/chants/music that creates Health and attunes your body and mind with the laws of nature.

9. Take healthy ayurvedic herbs, supplements & Rasayana’s (combination of herbs) that are the embodiment of Natural laws that heals your body and mind, improve your immune system, your digestive system and your general health and well being.
Follow the behavioral Rasayanas that are ancient rules that are in tune/Harmony with the Laws of Nature: love, compassion and understanding for yourself and others. respect and appreciation. Respect for teachers and elders. Being positive, Speech that is uplifting to yourself and others. Cleanliness. Charity and regular donations, non-violence, compassion, truthfulness, speaking and acting with honesty, sincerity, and integrity, avoiding deception or gossip, physical hygiene and mental clarity, contentment, letting go of ego and dedicating actions to a divine or universal consciousness, fostering humility and faith, etc.
10. When any kind of negativity arises within ourselves or others, Maharishi explains that this is just the body’s way of releasing unwanted stress, which is good, but the quickest way to release this stress is to be a neutral and a silent witness, which means we don't encourage it, but we don't reject it either, that's how stress will resolve most quickly.
11. The power of attention. Whatever you focus your attention on becomes stronger in your life. The attention is therefore very powerful, so we focus on positive, good, healthy, beautiful and uplifting behaviors, topics and stories and avoid any kind of negativity.
12. Practice Gratitude, be grateful for what you have, count all your blessings. https://www.dralamountain.org/10-scientific-benefits-of-gratitude/
