Hello everyone!

A huge thank to every one of you who has followed, liked, commented, or engaged with me since the very first day I created this page. Your support truly gave more courage to turn this page to a useful platform.

Whether you’re a medical student working hard through your studies, hospital attachments, or internships, a busy healthcare worker or clinician like me, or just someone who loves learning about health I’m so grateful you’re part of this page .

To every medical student pulling all-nights, every clinician staying sharp between shifts, every healthcare worker on the front lines, and everyone who enjoys learning about health thank you for being part of this page. Your energy and curiosity inspire me to make this page even more useful for both you and me.
That's why I’ve taken a deliberate step forward and rebranded the page as *Minute Medicine*.

Why This Change?

Many medical students and professionals are content creators of what doesn't align with their professions. I chose to create content in medicine because it’s my field and my passion.

Minute Medicine 💊 is all about delivering powerful medical knowledge that hits hard in just one minute. Every day, you can open your feed and find short, clear, precious notes packed with the most important concepts: disease presentations, key investigations, and management steps all written so simply and memorably that they stick in your mind right away.

I’ll also share healthy education tips on disease prevention and teach a lifestyle that improves your health. This page is for quick, useful learning that respects your time and helps you grow one minute at a time.

. Let’s make every minute count together!

All health workers are serving emotional Jobs 🙎

🖤 In the medical field, you don’t become immune to death. You just learn how to carry it differently.

We don’t “get used to it.”
We adjust to the reality of it.

We stand at the bedside, holding a patient’s hand in their final moments when no family can get there in time.
We watch monitors flatline, take a deep breath, and quietly say, “I’m so sorry.”
Then we gather ourselves, document the moment, and walk into the next room like nothing happened because we have to.

We learn to move forward with a professional face… but that doesn’t mean we forget.
We remember their names. Their stories. The way the room felt. The look in their loved one’s eyes.

🕊️ We don’t talk about it much not because we don’t care but because if we opened up every time, we might fall apart.
🕊️ We learn to grieve in motion. To care deeply, silently.
🕊️ We learn to keep going… even with a heart that breaks a little more each shift.

This job isn’t just science.
It’s humanity.
It’s humility.
It’s heartbreak.

And despite it all, we still show up.
Because life and death deserve dignity.
And we’re honored to be there for both. 🩺💔

There are men here who have never kept a doctor's appointment! In fact, whenever they feel pain, they just take Panadol or ignore the pain until it becomes numb! 😒
But the moment they hear a slight noise in their car, they rush to the mechanic. They remember every service date and take great care of their cars!
Whicj one is exactly your priority, if I may ask? 🤔"

"If smokers had known the price of smoking, they wouldn't continue the habit."

Smoking is a habit that many individuals struggle with, often without fully realizing the extensive consequences it carries. If smokers truly understood the multifaceted costs of their habit—both financial and health-related—they might choose to reconsider their choices. Raising awareness about these hidden costs can empower individuals to break free from addiction.

One of the most immediate consequences of smoking is the financial burden it imposes. In my country, the average cost of a pack of ci******es ranges from 3,000 to 5,000 pounds. Over a year, this adds up to a substantial amount spent on ci******es alone. Imagine what could be accomplished with that money—savings for a family vacation, contributions to a retirement fund, or even investment in a hobby.

In addition to the financial strain, smoking poses severe health risks. Smokers are nearly 15 times more likely to develop lung cancer compared to non-smokers. Beyond cancer, smoking increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, and respiratory infections. It also weakens the immune system, making the body more susceptible to illnesses. Each cigarette not only harms the smoker but also decreases their overall quality of life. Understanding these risks can serve as a powerful motivator to quit.

If you are a smoker looking to leave this habit behind, know that you are not alone, and it’s never too late to make a change. Here are some genuine steps to help you on your journey to quitting.

Start by setting a quit date, giving yourself time to prepare mentally and physically. Seek support from friends, family, or support groups; sharing your goal can provide encouragement and accountability. Identify your triggers—stress, social situations, or certain places—and develop strategies to manage them effectively.

Consider using ni****ne replacement products, such as patches, gum, or lozenges, to ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. Adopting healthy habits is also essential; engage in physical activities, eat a balanced diet, and practice relaxation techniques like meditation or deep breathing to manage stress.

Celebrate your milestones, rewarding yourself for each smoke-free day or week, reinforcing your commitment and highlighting your progress. Finally, stay persistent. Understand that setbacks may happen. If you slip, don’t be discouraged. Reflect on what led to the relapse and use it as a learning experience for the future.

Quitting smoking is a challenging journey, but the benefits are immeasurable. Not only will you improve your health, but you'll also gain financial freedom and enhance your quality of life. Remember, every step you take toward quitting is a step toward a healthier, brighter future. You have the strength to overcome this habit and reclaim your life.

HEALTH EDUCATION!!!

A Reminder of Our Shared Humanity: Kidney Health Awareness and a Call to Action

I wanted to share something important about kidney health and the realities of dialysis. You might have seen posts like this before, but I hope this one resonates a little differently.

THE PROCESS OF DIALYSIS

Dialysis is a medical treatment that performs the functions of the kidneys when they are unable to do so effectively. It is primarily used to remove waste products and excess fluid from the blood in individuals with kidney failure.
During dialysis, blood is removed from the body through the red tube, passed through the dialysis machine, cleansed of all metabolic impurities, and then reintroduced back into the body through the blue tube.

This process is repeated for **4 hours** while the patient remains immobile in bed. It occurs **3 times a week**, totaling **12 times a month** and **48 hours a month** spent connected to a machine.

For those not affected, this purification of the blood happens automatically **36 times a day** in your body with zero effort by the kidneys, even while you are moving around.

- Sugar

Increase Your:
- Sleep
- Exercise
- Exposure to sun
- Water
- Fresh fruits and vegetables

It's easy to scroll past these kinds of messages, but I wanted to add some perspective. As healthcare practitioners, we feel a deep responsibility to safeguard the lives and well-being of our patients.

Imagine spending **48 hours every month** connected to a machine, just to stay alive. That's the reality for many people with kidney failure. While medical technology has advanced, it's not a replacement for healthy kidneys.

We, as healthcare professionals, are dedicated to providing the best possible care, but **prevention is always better than cure**. That's where you come in.

I'm sharing this not to scare anyone, but to raise awareness and encourage everyone to take proactive steps to protect their kidney health.

**Follow this page** To engage in health talks and more information on how to stay healthy!

If you found this information helpful, please share this post. You might help someone make a life-changing decision to prioritize their health. Let's spread awareness and support each other in living healthier lives.
