Grief is the response to loss. When we think of grief we usually think of the loss of someone or something living, but grief can also be experienced when there is physical, social, spiritual, or philosophical death.
Any type of death comes coupled with change, and change can be overwhelming and confusing. To step out of grief and move into a space of rebirth, we have to allow ourselves to deeply experience every emotion.
It is not easy to sit face to face with our emotions, it’s not easy to allow ourselves to be vulnerable and in pain, yet repressing these emotions means we are only storing them somewhere within.
If we cannot fully experience death, pain, and change, are we fully experiencing love and life? What are we ignoring or keeping ourselves from experiencing because of the fear of being hurt?
