When did you realise that you deserve happiness and when did you start reclaiming your happiness?

If you didn't know, listen closely.
You deserve happiness. Regardless of your past trauma, your insecurities, your mistakes, your hurt, you deserve happiness and you deserve love.
Often when we go through so many negative experiences in our lives, we start to believe that happiness was not meant for us. That love was not meant for us because, well, why haven't we felt it in so long? We become so stuck and consumed by our sadness that even when we experience joy, we're quick to cut it short because "it was never going to last anyway" but listen, you deserve even that fleeting moment of joy you feel in a day. Embrace it, bask in it, enjoy it because you deserve it.
When you start to do this, you heal the parts of yourself that live in doubt and fear, and you affirm the parts of you that are confident in your human experience.

Over 200 million girls worldwide have suffered at the hand of cultural practices that seek to diminish and suppress their sexuality. Girls as young as 3 years old are mutilated because it is believed that not doing so will lead to sexual promiscuity. Children are cut and sewn up because they are meant to be pure for their future husbands, husbands who are older men to whom they are likely to be sold to. What cruel world looks at a child and decides to deform her body because of future male prospects. Female Ge***al mutilation is a cruel practice that is still active in over 25 countries all over the world. Many young women still suffer and many lives are changed and lost forever as a result. These are the testimonials of some of the women who have survived mutilation who wish to raise awareness about it and hopefully finally bring this horrendous practice to an end, for the sake of future young female generations.

We all have periods of loneliness, emptiness and desolation. You feel a void in your core, with no way to fill it.
Here are some tips to filling emptiness with positivity and light:

•Journal: write your thoughts down. Ask yourself where the contents of that void are sitting and ask yourself how you can get them back in the best way.

•Stretch: Move your body. When we feel empty we tend to crouch over into the void in our core. All the negative energy scattered all over your body in tension pockets can be released with a good yoga flow.

Affirm: Say your affirmations in the mirror, while you stretch, while you meditate. A great affirmation for loneliness is "I am worthy even when I can't see it. I am worthy in joy and sadness"

With the current political crisis in Afghanistan brought on by the armed Taliban forces, women are suffering the brunt of it with sexist and misogynistic violence taking place. Women all over the country are afraid to go outside with or without their burka.
The quoted testimony is from a university student who states that they even have to hide their qualifications and IDs.

Why must women suffer more at all times? Why do perpetrators in crisis continue to perpetuate violence against women for the sake of terrorizing them? When will women, across the world, breathe?

We need better. We deserve better.
