A Reflection on One of the Church's Mental Health Talks from Last Year

As a foundation, we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with church authorities to promote mental health. Integrating mental health into the church not only raises awareness but also allows the church to provide spiritual, psychological, and physical care.

Genuine believers attend church with various challenges, not just spiritual ones. Therefore, educating church leaders about mental health equips them to offer comprehensive support to their congregations, ensuring that those in need receive the psychological care they deserve.

Our foundation is open to invitations to conduct mental health talks in churches, catering to both adults and youth. To invite us, please call 76565548 or email sifisomentalhealthfoundation@gmail.com.

As the Sifiso Mental Health Foundation, we are looking forward to more youth empowerment programs, particularly in rural areas. The youth face unique challenges, such as high unemployment, which often lead to frustration and engagement in risky behaviors like substance use. We are inviting individuals, organisations, and companies to support and partner with us.

World Cancer Day ๐Ÿ’š

Today, we stand in solidarity with individuals, families, and caregivers affected by cancer, reaffirming our commitment to supporting mental health alongside physical healing.

We recognize that cancer does not only affect the body; it profoundly impacts mental and emotional well-being as well. Behind every diagnosis is a person navigating the complexities of fear, uncertainty, grief, and hope.

You are not alone ๐Ÿ’š.

One of the stumbling blocks to accessing mental health care services is a lack of awareness. Many people with mental disorders are either unaware of their conditions or misinterpret them. This not only leads to poor management of the mental disorder but also delays treatment, which can result in complications. Our mental health deserves the same attention as our physical health; when it comes to treatment, the earlier the intervention, the better it is for both. Additionally, there will never be a time when you have a problem physically and are perfectly fine mentally, or vice versa.

Therefore, as the Sifiso Mental Health Foundation, we are your reliable youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering quality, evidence-based mental health talks, education, and peer counselor training. We promote mental health, reduce depression and su***de, and prevent gender-based violence (GBV). Your role is simple: partner with us, connect us to your community, support us, and be vigilant in identifying mental health needs.

To connect with us, call 76565548, WhatsApp 79469682, or email sifisomentalhealthfoundation@gmail.com.

Yesterday, we were excited to be joined by our entire team after their month-long break from the holidays. Taking a break and having time to rest is not a waste of time; itโ€™s a moment to recharge your energy and strength. Previous studies indicate that common causes of imposter syndrome and low productivity stem from insufficient rest among professionals. The objective is not merely to be seen moving up and down, but to achieve results in whatever you are doing.

As the Sifiso Mental Health Foundation, we emphasize the importance of rest and self-care among professionals; you come first: without you, thereโ€™s no productivity.

Wishing you a good day ahead! We are ready for your invitations for mental health talks and lessons. Our qualified mental health specialists are pleased to serve you.

Losing people or feeling alone does not mean you are the problem; rather, it is a sign that you are growing. Growth is a solitary process, accompanied by significant changes as you shed the old version of yourself that no longer fits. As the owner of your goals and vision, you will understand them better than anyone else, which may lead to losing some relationships along the way.

May you understand your loneliness, have a good day ahead.

Yesterday on behalf of the Sifiso Mental Health Foundation, our Social Worker attended the validation meeting of the Eswatini National Youth Development Coordination Framework, hosted by the Eswatini National Youth Council in partnership with the European Union. The event brought together youth representatives from across the country to contribute to the development of a more coordinated, inclusive, and responsive youth development system.

The meeting featured remarks from the Honourable Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr Bongani Nzima, who emphasised the critical role of coordination in achieving meaningful and sustainable youth impact. The Minister highlighted that the framework is not merely a policy document, but a governance compact designed to promote institutional alignment, accountability, Youth Participation, evidence-based planning, and measurable outcomes for young people in Eswatini.

The leaders of the Sifiso Mental Health Foundation held their first meeting of the year On the 18 January 2026 following the resumption of activities on January 15, 2026, after a temporary closure during the December holidays.
The primary aim of the meeting was to evaluate the foundation's performance over the past year, review the challenges encountered, and discuss mitigation strategies to ensure the continuity of our services. Despite a significant lack of resources, the foundation successfully planned, developed, and implemented over 17 mental health outreach initiatives across various communities last year. This achievement demonstrates the unwavering dedication of our members to the mission and vision of the foundation, reflecting our resilience and commitment to making an impact regardless of limited resources.

We wish to extend a special thanks to our valued members and volunteers who consistently deliver high-quality, evidence-based mental health promotion services. Your hard work and dedication never go unnoticed; you are seen and deeply appreciated. To our partners, stakeholders, and everyone who supported our initiatives last year: thank you. Your assistance truly made a difference and brought hope back to those in need.

As we begin 2026, the Sifiso Mental Health Foundation returns with renewed energy, ready to create a fresh impact in our communities. Mental health is just as vital as physical health; truly, there is no health without mental health. By creating awareness and breaking the stigma associated with mental illness, we aim to build a society where mental health is prioritized and understood.

As a young, youth-led, non-profit organization, we acknowledge that we still face limited resources to fully fund our initiatives and programs. Therefore, we are appealing to individuals, organizations, and companies to partner with us in promoting mental health within the communities of Eswatini.

As we continue to reflect on the recent men's mental health conference we hosted at Mbabane National Library Saturday13 December2025, itโ€™s evident that participants enjoyed a valuable opportunity to engage in open discussions about the issues affecting them. This gathering not only promoted mental health and addressed barriers to men's mental well-being but also created a safe space for individuals to express their vulnerabilities. In doing so, it fostered authentic support among men.
