The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has done it again! We are proud to announce the successful completion of a recent workshop for 53 schools in the Lubombo region, including both primary and high schools. Educators and teachers from these schools were sensitized on critical topics such as Psychosocial Support, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and the Early & Unintended Pregnancy Policy and Guidelines(EUP).These workshops are a testament to our commitment to equipping our educators with the necessary tools to address pressing issues in our schools and ensure a supportive environment for all.

We are proud to share the success of our recent workshops held last week on Thursday and Friday!
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), through its Guidance and Counselling Department, sensitized Life Skills Education experts and teachers (ETGPs) from Hhohho region schools on critical topics including Psychosocial Support, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and the Early & Unintended Pregnancy Policy and Guidelines.
These workshops are essential in equipping our educators with the tools to address pressing issue in our schools and ensure a supportive environment for all.

OFFICIAL LAUNCHING OF CHILDREN’s MONTH

What an inspiring start to Children's Month!
Yesterday's official launch event at the UN Main Conference focused on the theme:
"Planning and Budgeting for Children's Rights: Progress Since 2010." Young talent from Sifundzani Primary and SOS High and Primary Schools rendered beautiful performances.

The event saw the participation of esteemed figures, including the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla and Minister of Education Mr. Owen Nxumalo Notably, the Minister of Education highlighted how effectively the budget within his Ministry responds to the needs of children in Eswatini. A dynamic panel discussion, expertly guided by Mr. Thembikosi Dlamini from CANGO, featured insights from UNICEF, MOEPD, M*F, NCSD, Consortium, and Youth Rep.

We were given confidence by the Deputy Prime Minister that the government is vigorously working around the clock to find perpetrators behind the current abductions of Children in the country.

We are thrilled to announce the official Secondary School Guidance and Life Skills Education Teaching Materials for Forms 1-5 (2025-2029), developed by the Ministry of Education and Training through the Career Guidance ETGPS.

These comprehensive teaching and learning materials that interpret the syllabus are a vital tool for empowering our secondary school students with essential life skills and guidance.

This dedicated team ensured the quality of the teaching and learning materials.

•Language Appropriateness
•Cultural Sensitivity
•Confirming all lessons are aligned to the template agreed upon.
•Generating artwork content.

We also express our sincere gratitude to the officers from the National Curriculum Centre,The Career Guidance and Counseling(ETGPS) and our esteemed sponsor UNFPA for their unwavering support in this crucial initiative.

This syllabus is a testament to our commitment to providing the best possible education and support for our students' holistic development. We look forward to seeing its positive impact in our schools!

CALLING ALL LEARNRES, PARENTS,AND EDUCATORS📚

The Ministry of Education is committed to supporting every leamer's journey towards a bright and successful future.
Did you know that Early and Unintended Pregnancy (EUP) is a major national health and development concern? It has significant consequences,particularly affecting Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW).
In Eswatini, the problem of EUP remains visible, with a significant percentage of primary and secondary school-aged girls having given birth before the age of 24. Furthermore, the school dropout rate for adolescent girls is high compared with boys, with pregnancy being one of the main reasons.

Good news! The Ministry of Education has comprehensive guidelines in place for the prevention and management of learner pregnancies. These guidelines aim to:

• Prevent early and unintended pregnancies.
•Manage existing early and unintended pregnancies.
• Mitigate the impact of early and unintended pregnancies.
Our goal is to ensure that all learners remain in school, complete their education, and achieve their full potential. This requires a collective effort from families, learners, and communities.
Let's work together to empower our young people, equip them with essential life skills, and provide the necessary support to ensure continuous education for all!
