The Luke Commission will be offering ๐
๐๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ for selected oral and jaw conditions on Wednesday 21 January and Thursday, 22 January.
We are currently identifying patients who may benefit from assessment and possible procedures in the following categories:
๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ค ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ก
Patients may be assessed if they have:
โข Back teeth (often wisdom teeth) that are impacted, buried, or not coming through properly
โข Teeth growing at an angle or stuck under the gum or bone
โข Recurrent pain, swelling, or infection related to an impacted back tooth
โข Difficulty opening the mouth or chewing due to a problematic back tooth
โข Been told previously that a back tooth or wisdom tooth needs surgical removal
๐๐๐ฐ ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ, ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ, ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ
Patients may be assessed if they have:
โข ๐๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฉ, ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ฐ, ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก, ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ that has been present for ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง 6 ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก๐ฌ
โข Slowly growing swelling of the jaw or gums
โข Recurrent swelling that does not fully resolve
โข Cysts or tumors of the jaw or mouth previously identified but not yet treated
๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ด ๐ด๐ค๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ช๐ด ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ช๐ฏ๐ต๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ข๐ญ ๐ฆ๐น๐ต๐ณ๐ข๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด ๐ฐ๐ณ ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ข๐ญ ๐ต๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ ๐ฑ๐ข๐ช๐ฏ ๐ธ๐ช๐ต๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ต ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ช๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด ๐ญ๐ช๐ด๐ต๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ข๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆ.

If a procedure is recommended, ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ช๐ฎ๐จ๐ญ๐๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐-๐๐ฒ-๐๐๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ, depending on the condition and complexity of the procedure, and treatment will be scheduled for a different date.
All patients will first be evaluated by the specialist, and procedures will only be recommended where medically appropriate and safe.
