Dr. Menzies arrived in the Turks and Caicos Islands in 1984, and with a vision rooted in compassion and service, he established his first clinic in 1985. From those early days, he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to caring for the people of these islands. His unwavering commitment to patient wellbeing, his steady leadership, and his passion for advancing medical care shaped Associated Medical Practices into the trusted healthcare provider it is today.

Throughout his decades of service, Dr. Menzies touched countless lives. His kindness, integrity, and tireless work have left a profound and lasting impact on our community. We honor his remarkable legacy and the many lives he changed through his healing hands and compassionate heart.

We extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Menzies’ family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing or working alongside him. During this difficult time, we kindly ask that their privacy be respected.

As we mourn this tremendous loss, we remain committed to carrying forward the values and standards that Dr. Menzies instilled. Associated Medical Practices will continue to provide uninterrupted care, guided by the principles he lived by every day.

5 TIPS FOR A BETTER SLEEP AFTER THE TIME CHANGE

💤 1. Gradually Adjust Your Sleep Schedule
Start going to bed and waking up 15–20 minutes earlier or later (depending on the direction of the time change) for a few days before and after the switch.
This helps your body’s circadian rhythm adapt more smoothly.

☀️ 2. Get Morning Sunlight
Exposure to Natural light early in the day helps reset your internal clock.
Spend at least 15–30 minutes outdoors in the morning, it signals your brain that it’s time to be awake and alert.

📵 3. Limit Evening Screen Time
The blue light from phones, TVs, and computers can delay melatonin production, making it harder to fall asleep.
Try to avoid screens at least an hour before bed, or use a blue-light filter if needed.

🛏️ 4. Keep a Consistent Routine
Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. Consistency reinforces your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle, making it easier to fall asleep and wake up feeling rested.

☕ 5. Watch Caffeine and Alcohol Intake
Avoid caffeine after 2 p.m. and limit alcohol in the evening.
Both can disrupt deep sleep and leave you feeling groggy the next day, especially during time changes when your body is already adjusting.
