You are the gatekeeper of your home. 🏠

The grocery aisle is where the battle for your child's future health is won or lost. It’s a heavy burden, but also a massive opportunity. You have the power to change their "medical sentence" before it even starts.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒 Be the role model. 🙌🏽
Buy the fuel, not the filler.

Choose the "hard no" now to avoid the "hard life" later.

Balancing active play and proper rest is crucial for your child's health and development. Here's why both matter:

Play: Jumping, running, and dancing help with physical development and social skills. Plus, it’s just plain fun!

Rest: Quality sleep supports growth, boosts learning, and improves mood.

Encourage a daily routine that includes plenty of time for both. Your little ones will thank you with bright smiles and boundless energy.

5 Flu Warning Signs Every Parent Needs to Know 🚨

Think it’s just the flu? Don’t let your guard down. When your child is sick, trust your gut—and watch for these specific red flags that require immediate medical attention:

1️⃣ Labored Breathing: If their ribs are pulling in, nostrils are flaring, or they’re breathing exceptionally fast, don’t wait.

2️⃣ Severe Dehydration: No wet diapers for 8+ hours or no tears when crying? That’s a major warning sign.

3️⃣ Altered Consciousness: If your child is unusually lethargic, difficult to wake, or completely unresponsive, seek emergency care.

4️⃣ Persistent Fever: A fever that won’t respond to medication or lasts longer than 3–4 days needs a professional assessment.

5️⃣ The "Rebound" Trap: If they seem to get better, but then suddenly get much sicker with a high fever, it could indicate a secondary infection. Do not ignore it.

Remember we are here for you. Call us at 344-3123.

Spitting up can be super common in babies, especially in the first few months. Here are some tips that might help:

1. *Keep them upright*: After feeding, try to keep your baby upright for at least 30 minutes to help prevent milk from flowing back up.

2. *Burp them*: Burping can help release trapped air and reduce spitting up. Try burping your baby during and after feeds.

3. *Check feeding positions*: Make sure your baby's head is higher than their stomach while feeding.

4. *Watch for overfeeding*: If your baby's tummy is too full, it can put pressure on their stomach, causing spit-up. Try smaller, more frequent feeds.

5. *Check the latch*: If you're breastfeeding, make sure your baby's latch is good to avoid swallowing air.

6. *Keep an eye on their weight*: If your baby's gaining weight okay, spitting up might not be a big concern.

If your baby's spitting up frequently, has blood or bile in their spit-up, or shows signs of discomfort, it's best to check in with your pediatrician or call us directly. We are happy to answer any questions you have. 😀
