Wetland หรือ พื้นที่ชุ่มน้ำ คืออะไรกันนะ?

Wetland หรือ พื้นที่ชุ่มน้ำ คือ พื้นที่ซึ่งมี"น้ำ"เป็นปัจจัยหลักในการกำหนดหรือควบคุมสภาพแวดล้อมและลักษณะการดำรงอยู่ของสิ่งมีชีวิต

หากพื้นที่นั้นๆถูกแทนที่ด้วยสิ่งปลูกสร้าง หรือปรับเปลี่ยนทำให้สภาพแวดล้อมแตกต่างจากเดิม อาจจะมีผลทำให้การดำรงอยู่ของสิ่งมีชีวิตบริเวณนั้นหดหายไปได้

เราสามารถแยกประเภทของพื้นที่ชุ่มน้ำได้เป็น 6 ประเภท คือ…….

● พื้นที่ชุ่มน้ำทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง (Marine and Coastal Wetlands) หมายถึง บริเวณในทะเลและริมชายฝั่งทะเล ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ที่ไม่อยู่ภายใต้อิทธิพลของกระแสน้ำจากแม่น้ำ เช่น ทะเลสาบน้ำเค็ม (Lagoon) หาดทราย (Beach) และแนวปะการัง (Coral Reef) เป็นต้น
● ปากแม่น้ำหรือชวากทะเล (Estuarine) หมายถึง พื้นที่ซึ่งมีแม่น้ำและทะเลมาบรรจบกัน ลักษณะของน้ำจึงเป็นน้ำกร่อย เช่น ดินดอนสามเหลี่ยมปากแม่น้ำ (Delta) ที่ราบลุ่มน้ำท่วมถึง (Tidal Marsh) ป่าชายเลน (Mangrove Forest) หาดโคลน (Mud Flat) และแหล่งหญ้าทะเล (Seagrass Bed) เป็นต้น
● ทะเลสาบหรือบึง (Lacustrine) หมายถึง แหล่งน้ำขนาดใหญ่ที่มีน้ำขังถาวรหรือมีน้ำขังตามฤดูกาล อาจมีกระแสน้ำไหลเพียงเล็กน้อย เช่น ทะเลสาบและบึงต่าง ๆ
● แม่น้ำและแหล่งน้ำไหล (Riverine) หมายถึง แม่น้ำ ลำธาร ลำห้วย และลำคลองที่มีน้ำไหลตลอดทั้งปี รวมถึงพื้นที่ราบลุ่มริมชายฝั่งแม่น้ำตลอดสายและสันทรายแม่น้ำ
● หนองน้ำ (Palustrine) หมายถึง พื้นที่ซึ่งมีน้ำท่วมขังอยู่ตลอดหรือมีน้ำท่วมขังตามฤดูกาล มีความลึกไม่เกิน 2 เมตร และมีพืชน้ำปกคลุมมากกว่าร้อยละ 30 ของพื้นผิวน้ำ เช่น ที่ลุ่มชื้นแฉะ (Marsh) พรุ (Bog) และมาบ (Swamp) เป็นต้น
● พื้นที่ชุ่มน้ำที่มนุษย์สร้างขึ้น (Human-made Wetlands) เช่น อ่างเก็บน้ำ สระน้ำ บ่อเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำ นาข้าวและพื้นที่ทางการเกษตรซึ่งมีน้ำท่วมขัง

Our Story

Ruen Nuad Massage Studio began its service in 2001 on the second floor of a traditional Thai-style wooden house. Tucked away in a small lave of Convent Road, Ruen Nuad offered quality massage in a contemporary setting. The hanging greenery, draped over creaking, old teak wood created a casual atmosphere for guests to escape from Bangkok’s bustle.

After the lease agreement expired at the original Convent Road location, Ruen Nuad continues to offer its relaxed, friendly, and professional service at Sukhumvit 31.

The green, spacious, yet sleeker version of the original Ruen Nuad takes a literal approach to its name.
