Learning beyond the classroom — for future veterinarians

Thank you, for selecting Patara Elephant Conservation in Chiang Mai as main field-learning site. Here, students experienced hands-on learning beyond textbooks — observing elephant behavior how elephants live together as one big family, identifying emotional cues, and learning how to assess their health through insights from experienced mahouts.

And explored the innovative Elephant Ambulance, designed to reduce stress during emergency transport — a real breakthrough in large-animal rescue.

this journey gave our students a real-world glimpse into the life of a wildlife vet and the deep, compassionate care behind elephant conservation.
