We are alkaline beings, acidic by function. The human body is naturally slightly alkaline. The most significant rivers of life flowing through our body have an alkaline dominant pH similar to the Optimum Blood pH of 7.4.

Why is a carnivore or keto diet not feasible for our human physiology, simply because we don’t have the physiology of carnivores. When using common sense, it’s not difficult to understand. When was the last time you ran after an animal, broke its spine with a bite, and devoured it raw right there in front of you?

When the body becomes too acidic, it leads to inflammation, pain, ulcerations, indurations (thickening and hardening of soft tissues), fungating tumors, ulcerating cancers, and necrosis (rotting or death of living tissue), which usually has a bad smell.

On the other hand, an alkalizing diet helps to balance your pH level, ultimately reducing acidity. When you have a more alkaline environment, your body can function at optimal levels. The optimum pH levels in our fluids activate anti-tumor immune effectors (lymphocytes specializing in and equipped for tumor cell elimination); they become inactive (dormant) in an acidic pH. Isn’t that an interesting fact? pH is about electricity; if the electricity does not work correctly, the body can not function effectively.

We had a fantastic couple on the program several months ago, working as a nurse amongst the tribal people of Alaska, and she shared the article in the picture that shows what happens over time on a high-fat, high-protein diet. They eat berries that are available only 14 days a year. The rest of the year, they eat fat and meat protein.

She shared the article about this diet-induced clinical outcome (several cancers) of excess saturated fatty acids intake.

I would add the high protein intake that goes together with this kind of ‘survival’ diet, as a Higher risk of colore**al, colon, re**al, lung, and renal cell cancers was also observed with high total red and processed meat consumption.

Low Grade Metabolic Acidosis Hidden Driver To Weak Bones

Low-grade metabolic acidosis is a condition where there are no apparent or noticeable harms but the body is retaining acid, depleting bicarbonate stores and damage is occurring in numerous tissues in the body.

If low grade metabolic acidosis occurs in a prolonged, chronic way, low-grade metabolic acidosis can become significant and predispose to metabolic imbalances such as, increased bone resorption, reduced bone mineral density, and the loss of muscle mass. The slight reduction of the extracellular fluid pH caused by low-grade metabolic acidosis has been associated with osteoclast activity and increased urinary calcium excretion without increased intestinal calcium absorption, resulting in the depletion of bone calcium.

The foods that contribute most to the release of acids into the bloodstream are meats, eggs, beans, and oilseeds, and the foods that contribute most to the release of bases are fruits and vegetables.

As the sugar and vegetable phobia increases by influencers that promote high protein (carnivore) or keto (high fat) diet, and fear mongering to avoid fruits and even now vegetables accelerates low grade metabolic acidosis to become chronic.

You can not negotiate chemistry, fruits and vegetables are the main key factors that can keep low grade metabolic acidosis in check, prevent it from becoming chronic, and even revers it.

What Is the Ideal pH of Saliva?

In a healthy mouth, the normal pH of saliva is 7.4, but a range of 7.0 to 7.5 is the goal range.

According to research, a 6.75 Saliva pH is a difficult-to-maintain level, clearly because of the consumption of a consistent acidifying diet that induces low-grade metabolic acidosis, caused by retained acids in the body because of depleted alkaline mineral salts in the body, blood pH is still in the normal range but tilt towards 7.35 pH.

Bicarbonate and alkaline mineral salts in the body need urgent replenishment through an abundant consumption of fruits and vegetables to prevent the low grade metabolic acidosis to become chronic.

Dental professionals encourage patients to aim to keep their pH within the 6.2 and 7.6 range. If the pH level falls below 6.2, it is too acidic. I would advise don’t stay at 6.2, and make serious dietary changes to prevent low-grade systemic acidosis from becoming chronic.

The body is alkaline by design because it needs an abundance of electron donors, if the electron stealers have the overhand we are in trouble. The most ideal is a saliva pH of 7 to 7.5 pH, and up it lands at 7.6, it is too alkaline.

Alkaline pH levels in the mouth of 7.5 or higher help to neutralize acids in foods and drinks you have just consumed, remineralize enamel and restore and maintain a biofilm of bacteria that protects against cavity-causing bacteria.

Low pH

If there’s too much acid in the blood (low pH level), metabolic acidosis occurs. This is associated with high blood pressure, kidney disease, diabetes and other conditions.

High pH

If there’s too much alkaline in the blood (high pH level), a metabolic alkalosis occurs. This is associated with adrenal disease and alcohol abuse.

I love to share this testimony, just to show that unfortunately reaching out to medical doctors can make your life more a living hell, rather than restoring your body back to health & Vitality. Healing is often so simple that most people think it's impossible that diet, fasting and detox may possibly reverse any serious health condition someone goes through.

No they say, impossible... that can not be true, doctors know best... don't get me wrong I respect doctors who know how to help and heal people. Here is a testimony of a medical student.

I just completed four of the eight weeks I needed to make up for lost time at med school. It was pretty demanding, but I remained loyal to the diet and made it through just fine. I have this week off to rejuvenate, before I have to go back for the remaining four weeks. You've done no less than give me my life back and I can't thank you (David) enough for that.

I've come to learn my story is not much different from that from of other IBD (Inflammatory bowel disease) sufferers. I was living a happy and healthy life when one day, for no apparent reason, I suddenly began to experience abdominal cramps and loose stools. Over time, this progresses to debilitating abdominal pain and 20 plus bloody and mucoid bowel movements each day.

"As I am training to be a medical doctor, I naturally turned to traditional (allopathic) medicine for answers. Definitive answers were not what I got. Nonetheless traditional (allopathic) medicine was all I knew.

So, despite my obvious gaps in knowledge on this matter, I took a leap of faith and followed the directions given to me. I tried just about every anti- inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, and over the counter analgesic available. I went through numerous courses of steroids and even an immunosuppressant. For about a year I let the doctors adjust and readjust medication dosages in the hope that they would eventually find the key and would be able to protect me from having a colectomy.

During this year, life as I knew it was over. I had to take leave from school, lost about 60 pounds, spent 10 Days in the hospital, experienced indescribable abdominal pain, became housebound due to frequency of bowel movements, took 20 or more pills a day, incurred numerous side effects from these various medications, and spent thousands of dollars on treatments that did not help.

My observations led me to believe that the treatments I was given were actually worsening my condition. But what could I do? After all, I had to follow the advice of the experienced doctors, right? Wrong.

One day, finally I realised that if all these medications weren't helping, then how could I justify the side effects and expense? The doctors strongly advised me to continue the treatment. but I was slowly and painfully dying at the age of 27, and nothing that they were doing for me was of any help. I the case of IBD (Inflammatory bowel disease) traditional medicine did not have an answer for me and I needed to look elsewhere.

Everything changed for me when I miraculously found your self-healing Colitis & Crohn's book online. I likely would have dismissed your theories as nonsense if I would have come across them in the first month of the illness.

But I was now in month 11 and was meeting with a surgeon to discuss a colectomy. So, I read your book and for the first time felt like someone else understood my predicament. The things you said were in agreement with my own experiences and observations.

For the first time in a long time I was filled with hope and felt as if this illness might be manageable.

I am now at month 15 and have been free of medications and doctor visits. I've spoken to you numerous times over the telephone and through e-mail. You have done nothing less than nurse me back to health and given me my life back. How do you repay someone for that?

Many of the of the doctors I work with are quite interested in hearing my story. They are astonished that detox and diet have played such a crucial role in my healing.

Such a concept remains foreign to allopathic physicians. A few of those doctors tell me that they have heard similar stories from some of their own patients but, in the end, they have no training or understanding of nutrition and natural healing can do little more than simply listen to my story. David Klein's book recommends a largely fruit diet, David himself followed a natural diet essentially of fruits and vegetables, based on natural hygiene principles. Because David himself was faced with a severe case of ulcerative colitis when he was just 17 years old. What followed was a decade of suffering, culminating in a devastating prognosis, until he discovered and pursued a path of natural healing. Natural Hygiene considers that our digestive physiology is designed for mostly fruits, with some vegetables (easy digestible leafy greens),and seeds and nuts eaten sparingly. Ideally consumed in the raw fresh state in combinations that are compatible with our digestive chemistry.

It is not a secret in medicine, that the body is self-healing. And it’s so easy. And it’s so simple. Yes, doing it is indeed the main challenge, because you have to be consistent. But give the body the right conditions and it will do the self-healing work for us. And because of that, people think it’s just too good to be true.

Obviously, it’s not easy, though, but the solution is quite simple in terms of understanding how it works.
