Under this program, American students have been admitted to work as volunteers in various departments of the hospital. The objective of the program is to exchange information on culture, language, and public heath technologies among the volunteers, hospital staff, and members of the Angthong District communities. The hospital aims to provide the student volunteers with practical experiences in pat
ient care, and to inculcate in the students the spirits and determination to provide all patients with proper heath care, regardless of their differences in race and culture, or the language barriers. The good news is that most of the student volunteers who have undergone the training programs in the past have been successfully admitted into the medical or nursing schools of their choices.
