If I decide to have the tabletop Tungsten SEM and floor stand FESEM in my laboratory. Without the floor stand, Tungsten SEM. Is this the best decision?

✅ Tabletop Tungsten SEM (compact type):

Pros:
- Small footprint, fits on a bench or table
- Lower cost
- Easier to install, less demanding on lab conditions
- Good for routine imaging, basic materials science, life sciences (with proper prep), quality control

- Lower resolution (~10–20 nm typical)
- Limited analytical options (EDS/EDX, sometimes WDS but usually basic)
- Smaller sample size, smaller chamber
- Less flexibility for advanced research

✅ Floor-stand FESEM (Field Emission SEM):

- Much higher resolution (sub-nanometer, sometimes ~1 nm or better)
- Stronger surface detail, especially for nanomaterials, thin films, delicate samples
- Better beam stability, finer spot size
