Thanks to NeuroNews for covering the GRASSROOT Trial and access-focused stroke innovation.

The GRASSROOT trial evaluating the Supernova stent retriever (Gravity Medical Technology) has found “excellent” safety and efficacy outcomes in the treatment of large vessel occlusion (LVO) strokes, potentially supporting the wider adoption and reimbursement of “value-priced thrombectomy devic...

We were grateful to have Assoc Prof. Shashvat Desai, MD serve as a judge at SVINnovation 2025, helping bring leading scientific minds together to move stroke innovation forward.
Congratulations to this year’s awardee, Dr. Amol Mehta from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

We also presented the primary results of the GRASSROOT Trial at the SVIN 2025 Annual Meeting. Thank you to the investigators for leading this landmark India-driven study, which supported the approval of the Supernova stent retriever through India-led clinical evidence and helped advance access to safe and effective stroke treatment

At Gravity MedTech, our mission is simple: Stroke Care for All. Today, we take a major step toward that goal with the publication of the GRASSROOT Trial in

This is the first prospective trial of a de novo thrombectomy device conducted entirely in a Low- and Middle-Income Country (LMIC) to achieve both local and international regulatory approvals. The results were exceptional: the Supernovaâ„Ē Stent Retriever achieved a 93.8% successful reperfusion rate and demonstrated an excellent safety profile.

The GRASSROOT study shows that high-quality, value-driven technology can help close the global treatment gap—bringing hope to the 97% of stroke patients worldwide who currently lack access to life-saving mechanical thrombectomy.

Congratulations to the investigators, clinical teams, and Team Gravity for making this milestone possible.

And heartfelt gratitude to our patients and their families for trusting our technology and the life-saving care it enables.

The Anchoring Technique in Combined Thrombectomy restores stability and trackability in tortuous anatomy. This is evidenced in Dr. Takong's recent case where a patient presented with a distal M1 occlusion and severe tortuosity achieved first-pass recanalization through the anchoring technique.
