รัฐบาลไทยวางแผนพา Wellness ไทยสู่เวทีโลก

ในขณะที่กระแสสุขภาพและเวลเนสกำลังเติบโตทั่วโลก รัฐบาลไทยเองก็เล็งเห็นศักยภาพของอุตสาหกรรมนี้ และได้วางแผนยุทธศาสตร์ระยะยาวในการพัฒนา “ประเทศไทยให้เป็นศูนย์กลางด้านสุขภาพและเวลเนสของโลก” (Wellness & Medical Hub)

ตามแผนยุทธศาสตร์ของสำนักงานสภาพัฒนาการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ (สศช.) ประเทศไทยตั้งเป้าหมายให้ “เศรษฐกิจสุขภาพ” มีมูลค่าสูงถึง 690,000 ล้านบาทภายในปี 2568 หรือคิดเป็นประมาณ 3.39% ของ GDP ประเทศ โดยการผลักดันครั้งนี้ไม่ได้เน้นเฉพาะภาคเอกชน แต่ยังรวมถึงบทบาทของภาครัฐในทุกมิติ ทั้งด้านสาธารณสุข การศึกษา การท่องเที่ยว และนวัตกรรม

หนึ่งในโครงการสำคัญที่ขับเคลื่อนโดยกระทรวงสาธารณสุข คือ
โครงการ Medical & Wellness Hub
ซึ่งมีเป้าหมายหลักในการยกระดับสถานประกอบการสุขภาพให้ได้มาตรฐานระดับสากล ทั้งคลินิก เวลเนสเซ็นเตอร์ สปา และสถานประกอบการแพทย์แผนไทย โดยเน้นมาตรฐานการบริการ ความปลอดภัย และประสิทธิภาพการดูแลสุขภาพแบบองค์รวม

นอกจากนี้ ยังมีโครงการที่น่าสนใจอย่าง “Wellcation” ซึ่งเป็นการจับมือระหว่างกระทรวงสาธารณสุข การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) และหน่วยงานในจังหวัดต่าง ๆ เพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพในพื้นที่นำร่อง เช่น ราชบุรี กาญจนบุรี เชียงใหม่ และหัวหิน โดยบูรณาการบริการสปา การพักผ่อน และการดูแลสุขภาพเข้าด้วยกัน

อีกด้านหนึ่งของความเข้มแข็งนี้คือ การยกระดับบุคลากรด้านสุขภาพ โดยกรมสนับสนุนบริการสุขภาพ (สบส.) ได้กำหนดแนวทางการอนุญาตและกำกับดูแลมาตรฐานสถาบันสอนนวดและสปา เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการทั้งในประเทศและตลาดต่างประเทศ

บทบาทของภาครัฐในครั้งนี้จึงไม่ใช่เพียงแค่การสนับสนุน แต่เป็นการ “วางระบบ” เพื่อให้ประเทศไทยก้าวขึ้นมาเป็น “ศูนย์กลางสุขภาพที่ยั่งยืน” ได้อย่างแท้จริง

ในช่วงไม่กี่ปีที่ผ่านมา โลกได้หันมาให้ความสำคัญกับ “สุขภาพแบบองค์รวม” มากขึ้น ไม่ใช่แค่การไม่มีโรค แต่หมายถึงการมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดี ทั้งด้านร่างกาย จิตใจ และจิตวิญญาณ ซึ่งสิ่งนี้คือหัวใจของสิ่งที่เรียกว่า “Wellness” หรือ “เวลเนส”

จากรายงานของ Global Wellness Institute (GWI) ปี 2023 ระบุว่า อุตสาหกรรมเวลเนสทั่วโลกมีมูลค่าสูงถึง 5.6 ล้านล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ และคาดว่าจะเติบโตต่อเนื่องจนแตะ 8.5 ล้านล้านดอลลาร์ภายในปี 2027 หรือเฉลี่ยเติบโตปีละกว่า 8.6% ซึ่งถือเป็นหนึ่งในกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมที่เติบโตเร็วที่สุดในโลก
