There are many ways to enter and embody a posture. What matters is not the shape, but the quality of attention within it.

Advanced asana is not built through performance.
It is built through self-inquiry—through listening, refining, and responding honestly to what is present.

When we stop trying to “do” the pose, the pose begins to teach us.
We learn how to balance effort and release, how to organize energy rather than overpower the body.

You already know what to do.

Kriyas + Breathwork for Women (Empty stomach recommended)

A potent introduction to traditional yogic cleansing and awakening practices that help:

Gentle Warrior Practices

Kuan Yin Qigong + Self-Shiatsu + Feminine Embodiment

A deeply nourishing session focused on the pelvis, sacrum, hips, and hormonal centers.
Blending Qigong, self-shiatsu, and gentle mobility, this practice supports:

vitality and hormonal flow
smoother perimenopause & menopause transitions
improved libido & energy
relief from dryness, joint pain, mood swings
a sense of softness, intuition & inner resilience
You’ll leave grounded, refreshed, and more at home in your body.



Afternoon Session — Open to All Genders 2:00–3:30 PM
Backbend Exploration: Strength, Mobility & Conscious Expansion

Inspired by Danka’s intensive study with Vinay Kumar (Pranavashya Yoga)

A supportive session for anyone wishing to explore deeper backbends with strength, clarity, and safety.

In this workshop, we will learn how to build a strong movement foundation to prepare the body for deeper backbends. We’ll explore the small details that make a big difference — how to use the feet and gaze, how to move and stabilise the shoulders safely, and how to twist more deeply without strain.

You will learn to move according to your own anatomy, with clarity and grace rather than force, so that backbending becomes a practice that supports the spine, protects the lower back, and builds vitality instead of tension.



About Danka
Danka is a senior yoga teacher with 19+ years of experience in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Krama Yoga. She is also a certified Shiatsu therapist and holistic mentor. Her approach blends embodiment, breathwork, bodywork, and mindful lifestyle principles.

She helps women honor their unique constitution, listen deeply to their bodies, and cultivate balance, resilience, and grounded feminine strength

Satsang — First Sunday of the Year

Today is the first Sunday Mysore of the year.
A time when many of us arrive carrying promises —
new resolutions, new intentions, new expectations.

Often, these resolutions come from the mind’s habit
to add —
to do more, improve more, become more.

But yoga invites a different movement.

Practice does not ask us
to pile new things on top of what we already know.
It asks us to remember the essence
we have never lost.

When we step onto the mat,
we are not a list of successes or failures from last year.
We are not our resolutions.

We arrive as a clean slate.

A quiet space
in which awareness naturally lights up.

In this space,
nothing needs to be proven.
Nothing needs to be fixed.

We listen.
We feel.
We allow practice to reveal itself
moment by moment.

So today, instead of asking,
“What should I achieve this year?”
perhaps we can ask:

“How available can I be —
to this breath,
this body,
this moment?”

From this openness,
clarity comes on its own.

Not as effort,
but as presence.

Shoulder Lion — Skandha Krama II 🦁

Shoulder Lion (Skandha Krama II) is a powerful evolution of the Lion family, weaving together the foundations of Lion Cub, Lion I, and Shoulder Moon into a richer, more dynamic exploration. This is a Level 1.5 sequence, inviting practitioners who have already cultivated steadiness, sensitivity, and patience in their prior work.

Here, the practice moves beyond rehabilitation into intelligent strength. The sequence builds deep stability around the entire shoulder girdle while maintaining spaciousness through the chest and upper spine. The wall becomes an ally—offering support, feedback, and safety as the body learns to open without collapsing and to strengthen without gripping.

Skandha Krama II also introduces arm balances, not as feats of performance, but as therapeutic expressions of integrated shoulder strength, core awareness, and trust. These moments invite practitioners to feel how stability and freedom can coexist in the upper body.

We often come to yoga seeking clarity —
to understand, to improve, to become.

But as practice matures,
we may discover something unexpected:
the freedom of not knowing.

Not knowing does not mean we are lost.
It means we are present.

When we do not know,
we listen more deeply.
We feel the breath before naming it.
We respect the body instead of overriding it.

In this space,
practice becomes honest.
We stop forcing yesterday’s shapes
onto today’s body.
We stop chasing future versions of ourselves.

Not knowing humbles the mind
and softens the heart.

It invites trust —
not in technique,
but in awareness itself.

As we close this year,
may we allow ourselves
to not carry answers forward.

May we carry curiosity,
gentleness,
and the courage to meet each practice
as if for the first time.

Because yoga does not ask us
to know who we are.

It asks us
to stay open
to the mystery of being.

and reconnect with what truly holds us steady.

We’ll begin with a short satsang and meditation.
Nothing heavy, nothing forced — just a gentle pause
to acknowledge what supported us,
to release what feels complete,
