On 16 – 17 February 2026, Ratchasuda Institute, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, warmly welcomed a delegation from National University Corporation of Tsukuba University of Technology (NTUT), Japan. The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Yoko Kobayashi, Member of the International Exchange Committee, and included faculty members and students. The visit aimed to observe academic and service operations, exchange knowledge, and explore future collaboration opportunities at Mahidol University, as well as to participate in activities with Setsatian School for the Deaf under the Royal Patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.

On the first day, at Meeting Room 231, 2nd Floor, Ratchasuda Institute, the delegation was welcomed by Dr. Somkiat Leelasithorn and Dr. Sunanta Klibthong. The program included a tour of the Institute’s teaching and learning facilities and service units. In the afternoon, Japanese and Thai students engaged in joint activities in a friendly and interactive atmosphere.

On the second day, the delegation visited Setsatian School for the Deaf under the Royal Patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn to learn about the school’s operations, followed by further discussions on potential collaboration at Mahidol University.

This study visit marked another significant step in strengthening the partnership between the two institutions and fostering future academic cooperation and student exchange initiatives.

ระหว่างวันที่ 16 – 17 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 สถาบันราชสุดา คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้ศึกษาดูงานจาก National University Corporation of Tsukuba University of Technology (NTUT) ประเทศญี่ปุ่น นำโดย Assoc. Prof. Yoko Kobayashi สมาชิก International Exchange Committee พร้อมด้วยคณาจารย์และนักศึกษา เพื่อศึกษาดูงาน แลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ และหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือ ณ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล รวมทั้งเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมกับ โรงเรียนเศรษฐเสถียร ในพระราชูปถัมภ์

ในวันแรก ณ ห้องประชุม 231 ชั้น 2 สถาบันราชสุดา คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล อาจารย์ นายแพทย์สมเกียรติ ลีละศิธร พร้อมด้วยอาจารย์ ดร. สุนันทา ขลิบทอง ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้ศึกษาดูงาน และนำเยี่ยมชมการจัดการเรียนการสอน รวมถึงการให้บริการต่าง ๆ ของสถาบัน ในช่วงบ่าย นักศึกษาจากประเทศญี่ปุ่นได้ร่วมกิจกรรมกับนักศึกษาไทย ซึ่งบรรยากาศเป็นไปอย่างราบรื่นและเป็นกันเอง

ในวันที่สอง ณ โรงเรียนเศรษฐเสถียร ในพระราชูปถัมภ์ คณะผู้ศึกษาดูงานได้เยี่ยมชมการดำเนินงานของโรงเรียน จากนั้นได้เดินทางไปหารือความร่วมมือเพิ่มเติม ณ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล

การศึกษาดูงานในครั้งนี้นับเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญของการเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างสองสถาบัน อันจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาในอนาคต

Ramathibodi’s Department of Surgery Hosts Global Expert from University of Rochester to Advance Pancreatic Cancer Treatment

BANGKOK, February 13, 2026 – The Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, recently welcomed Professor Richard Schulick, MD, MBA, FACS, Chief Clinical Officer of the University of Rochester Medical Center, for a high-level academic exchange and special lecture titled “Meet the Expert: Current Treatment Approaches in Pancreatic Cancer.”

The visit commenced at the Dean’s Meeting Room, where Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, led a welcoming committee of distinguished faculty members. The delegation included: Associate Professor Chalermpong Chatdokmaiprai, M.D., Head of the Department of Surgery, Assistant Professor Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, Assistant Professor Pongsatorn Tangtawee, M.D., Deputy Head for Strategy and Development, Department of Surgery, and Dr. Chanarong Suphavejkornkij, M.D., Special Medical Instructor

Following the reception, the lecture was held at Meeting Room 624, Administration Building, organized by the Division of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery. Professor Schulick shared cutting-edge clinical updates and innovative surgical approaches to pancreatic cancer, one of the most challenging areas in modern oncology.

This collaboration underscores Ramathibodi Hospital's commitment to international academic excellence and its mission to remain at the forefront of medical innovation, ultimately enhancing the quality of specialized patient care in Thailand.

Ramathibodi Welcomes Delegates from the Asian Australasian Congress of Anesthesiologists (AACA)

February 5, 2026 – At Meeting Room 617, Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building.
Associate Professor Varinee Lekprasert, M.D., Head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, warmly welcomed the delegation from the Asian Australasian Congress of Anesthesiologists (AACA). The visiting group comprised distinguished anesthesiologists and medical professionals from various countries, including China, Nepal, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Russia, and Malaysia.
The visit aimed to foster international collaboration and exchange insights on medical management and patient care. Following the welcome remarks, the delegates participated in a site visit to observe Ramathibodi’s state-of-the-art facilities and centers of excellence, including:
• Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD)
• Operating Room (OR)
• Advanced Diagnostic Imaging Center (AIMC)
• Ramathibodi Clinical Research Center (RAMAAC)
This visit marks a significant step in strengthening the network among medical institutions in the Asian-Australasian region, paving the way for future cooperation in anesthesiology and healthcare innovation.

รองศาสตราจารย์ พญ.วริณี เล็กประเสริฐ หัวหน้าภาควิชาวิสัญญีวิทยา คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ให้เกียรติกล่าวต้อนรับคณะผู้แทนวิสัญญีแพทย์และผู้เชี่ยวชาญจาก Asian Australasian Congress of Anesthesiologists (AACA) ซึ่งประกอบด้วยบุคลากรทางการแพทย์จากหลากหลายประเทศ อาทิ จีน เนปาล คาซัคสถาน ฟิลิปปินส์ รัสเซีย และมาเลเซีย ในโอกาสเดินทางมาเยือนเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสถาบัน

On the morning of February 2, 2026, the opening ceremony for the "Training Program in Technology of Medicine and Public Health for Health Personnel from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (ฺBatch 28)" was held at the Debaratana Auditorium, located on the 4th floor of the 50th Anniversary of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University. This program was established under the initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

Representing the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, the attending delegation was led by Assistant Professor Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations. He was joined by Assistant Professor Prawat Nitiyanant, M.D., Project Advisor; Assistant Professor Piyanee Na Nakorn, Ph.D., Lecturer of the Gerontological Nursing Program; and Arthit Chaithanasarn, M.D., Lecturer of the Family Medicine Program. Following the ceremony, the medical personnel from Lao PDR (Batch 28) were escorted to Ramathibodi Hospital to begin their specialized training programs including Gerontological Nursing, Anatomical Pathology, and Family Medicine.

In the afternoon, a formal welcoming session was moved to be arranged at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital; in Meeting Room 1, 5th Floor of the Administrative Building. Assistant Professor Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, presided over the session alongside Assistant Professor Prawat Nitiyanant, M.D., Project Advisor; Associate Professor Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Ph.D., Director of the Ramathibodi School of Nursing; and Assistant Professor Piyanee Na Nakorn, Ph.D.

During the session, the Lao participants received essential orientation regarding their stay and residency at Ramathibodi Hospital. This was followed by a guided tour of key campus facilities, including the library, sports center, and dining areas. To conclude the day, the personnel were escorted to their respective departments to officially commence their clinical training.

เมื่อวันที่ 2 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 ผศ.นพ.สุชิน วรวิชชวงษ์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วย ผศ.นพ. ประวัติ นิธิยานันท์ อาจารย์ที่ปรึกษาโครงการ ผศ.ดร. ปิยาณี ณ นคร อาจารย์ประจำหลักสูตรการพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุ และ อ.นพ.อาทิตย์ ชัยธนสาร อาจารย์ประจำหลักสูตรแพทย์เวชศาสตร์ครอบครัว ร่วมพิธีเปิดโครงการฝึกอบรมเทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์และสาธารณสุข สำหรับบุคลากรทางการแพทย์และสาธารณสุข จากสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว ตามพระราชดำริ สมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี รุ่นที่ 28 ณ ห้องประชุมเทพรัตนทันตกิจสโมสร ชั้น 4 อาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 50 พรรษา คณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล
โครงการฝึกอบรมครั้งนี้เกิดขึ้นจากพระมหากรุณาธิคุณใน สมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดา ฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ที่ทรงเล็งเห็นความสำคัญของการพัฒนาบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ในประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน โดยมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลได้ร่วมกับโครงการส่วนพระองค์ฯ สำนักพระราชวัง และกรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ (TICA) กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ดำเนินการมาอย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นประจำทุกปี
ภายหลังพิธีเปิด คณะบุคลากรทางการแพทย์และสาธารณสุขจากสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาวได้เดินทางมายังคณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี เพื่อเข้ารับการฝึกอบรมเฉพาะทางในหลักสูตรการพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุ หลักสูตรพยาธิวิทยากายวิภาค และหลักสูตรแพทย์เวชศาสตร์ครอบครัว

ในช่วงบ่าย ได้มีการจัดพิธีเปิดและต้อนรับอย่างเป็นทางการ ณ ห้องประชุม 1 ชั้น 5 อาคารบริหาร คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี โดยมี ผศ.นพ.สุชิน วรวิชชวงษ์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ เป็นประธานในพิธี พร้อมด้วย ผศ.นพ. ประวัติ นิธิยานันท์ อาจารย์ที่ปรึกษาโครงการ รศ.ดร. พูลสุข เจนพานิชย์ วิสุทธิพันธ์ ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนพยาบาลรามาธิบดี และ ผศ.ดร. ปิยาณี ณ นคร อาจารย์ประจำหลักสูตรการพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุ
ในการนี้ คณะบุคลากรทางการแพทย์และสาธารณสุขจากสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาวได้มีการปฐมนิเทศสำหรับการฝึกอบรม ณ คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี พร้อมทั้งเยี่ยมชมสถานที่และสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกภายใน ได้แก่ ห้องสมุด ศูนย์กีฬา และสถานที่ต่าง ๆ ก่อนเดินทางไปยังหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อเริ่มต้นการฝึกอบรมภาคปฏิบัติอย่างเป็นทางการ

The event drew a diverse audience of faculty, medical professionals, and students, all eager to learn from Dr. King’s visionary journey. His visit not only provided profound academic enrichment but also served as a powerful catalyst, reinforcing Ramathibodi’s commitment to global medical innovation and clinical excellence.

On 26 January 2026, at Meeting Room 3, 5th Floor, the Administrative Building, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Asst. Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, together with Assoc. Prof. Soamarat Vilaiyuk, M.D., Deputy Dean for Postgraduate Education, warmly welcomed Prof. Liam Smeeth, Director of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), the United Kingdom, on the occasion of a potential collaborative meeting regarding the Intercalated Scholars Program.

During the meeting, both institutions explored opportunities for postgraduate exchange programs between the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. The discussion included an exchange of information on curricula structures and academic timelines to ensure alignment and mutual suitability. This visit marked an important step toward strengthening academic collaboration and enhancing educational opportunities, with the shared goal of fostering greater potential and academic excellence for students of both institutions in the future.

On January 25, 2026, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, had the honor of hosting the International Organizing Committee (IOC) meeting of the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation. The meeting took place at Room 910 ABC, on the 9th floor of the Medical Education and Research Building. The primary objective of this gathering was to discuss and strategize for the upcoming Prince Mahidol Award Conference (PMAC) 2027.

The session commenced with a welcome address by Clin. Prof. Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, who extended a warm welcome to the distinguished committee members. Subsequently, Prof. Vicharn Panich, M.D., Chair of the International Organizing Committee of the Prince Mahidol Award Conference, presided over the opening of the meeting.

A significant portion of the agenda was dedicated to shaping the direction of PMAC 2027. The committee engaged in extensive discussions regarding the conference’s main theme and sub-themes. They also outlined the critical next steps, including the assignment of volunteers for sub-theme leadership, the timeframe for drafting concept notes, and the overall calendar of activities to ensure the smooth organization of the event.

Furthermore, the meeting provided an opportunity for the committee to look beyond the immediate future. The members exchanged views on potential themes for PMAC 2028 – 2031 and discussed various strategic initiatives. These forward-looking dialogues aim to ensure that the Prince Mahidol Award Conference continues to serve as a vital global platform for driving public health advancements well into the next decade.

เมื่อวันที่ 25 มกราคม 2569 ณ ห้องประชุม 910 ABC ชั้น 9 อาคารเรียนและปฏิบัติการรวมด้านการแพทย์และโรงเรียนพยาบาลรามาธิบดี คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ได้รับเกียรติให้เป็นสถานที่จัดการประชุมคณะกรรมการนานาชาติจัดการประชุมนานาชาติรางวัลสมเด็จเจ้าฟ้ามหิดลฯ หรือ International Organizing Committee (IOC) เพื่อร่วมหารือและวางแผนสำหรับการจัดการประชุมนานาชาติรางวัลสมเด็จเจ้าฟ้ามหิดลฯ ประจำปี 2570 หรือ PMAC 2027 ในการนี้ ศาสตราจารย์คลินิก นายแพทย์อาทิตย์ อังกานนท์ คณบดีคณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี ได้ให้เกียรติกล่าวต้อนรับคณะกรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจากนานาประเทศที่เดินทางมาร่วมประชุม โดยมี ศาสตราจารย์ นายแพทย์วิจารณ์ พานิช ประธานคณะกรรมการรางวัลนานาชาติ มูลนิธิรางวัลสมเด็จเจ้าฟ้ามหิดล ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ เป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดการประชุมอย่างเป็นทางการ
โดยสาระสำคัญของการประชุมในครั้งนี้ มุ่งเน้นไปที่การระดมความคิดเห็นเพื่อกำหนดทิศทางของงาน PMAC 2027 โดยที่ประชุมได้ร่วมกันพิจารณาหัวข้อหลัก (Theme) และหัวข้อย่อย (Sub-themes) ของงาน รวมถึงการวางแผนดำเนินงานในขั้นต่อไป ทั้งในส่วนของการกำหนดผู้รับผิดชอบร่างเอกสารแนวคิด (Concept Notes) และการจัดทำปฏิทินกิจกรรม เพื่อให้การเตรียมงานเป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ นอกจากวาระการเตรียมงานในปี 2027 แล้ว คณะกรรมการยังได้ร่วมกันแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับหัวข้อการประชุมในอนาคต สำหรับปี 2028 – 2031 รวมถึงข้อริเริ่มเชิงกลยุทธ์ต่างๆ (Strategic Initiatives) ซึ่งถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนให้การประชุมรางวัลสมเด็จเจ้าฟ้ามหิดลฯ ยังคงบทบาทเวทีสาธารณสุขระดับโลกที่ทันสมัยและสร้างผลกระทบเชิงบวกต่อสังคมสืบไป

เรื่อง: แจ้งอัปเดตสถานการณ์การระงับการออกวีซ่าพำนักถาวร (Immigrant Visa) ของสหรัฐอเมริกา

ตามที่มีกระแสข่าวเกี่ยวกับมาตรการด้านการตรวจคนเข้าเมืองของสหรัฐอเมริกา งานวิเทศสัมพันธ์ขอแจ้งข้อมูลสำคัญเพื่อให้ทุกท่านเข้าใจสถานการณ์อย่างถูกต้อง ดังนี้:

1. สาระสำคัญของมาตรการ
รัฐบาลสหรัฐฯ ภายใต้ประธานาธิบดีทรัมป์ มีคำสั่งให้กระทรวงการต่างประเทศสหรัฐฯ ระงับกระบวนการออกวีซ่าพำนักถาวร (Immigrant Visa) หรือ Green Card สำหรับพลเมืองจาก 75 ประเทศ (รวมประเทศไทย) เป็นการชั่วคราว
• เหตุผล: เพื่อประเมินและปรับปรุงระบบการคัดกรองใหม่ ป้องกันไม่ให้ผู้ย้ายถิ่นฐานเข้ามาใช้สวัสดิการของรัฐมากเกินไป (Public Charge concerns)
• วันที่มีผล: เริ่มตั้งแต่วันที่ 21 มกราคม 2569 เป็นต้นไป โดยยังไม่มีกำหนดสิ้นสุด

2. ประเภทวีซ่าที่ "ไม่ได้รับผลกระทบ" (ยังขอได้ตามปกติ)
ขอย้ำว่ามาตรการนี้ "ไม่รวม" ถึงวีซ่าชั่วคราว (Nonimmigrant Visa) ซึ่งเป็นประเภทที่บุคลากรส่วนใหญ่ใช้ในการติดต่อประสานงานหรือศึกษาต่อ ได้แก่:
• วีซ่าท่องเที่ยวและธุรกิจ (B1/B2): สำหรับการไปร่วมประชุม สัมมนา หรือเจรจาทางธุรกิจระยะสั้น
• วีซ่านักเรียน/นักศึกษา (F, M): สำหรับการไปศึกษาต่อในระดับต่างๆ
• วีซ่าทำงานชั่วคราว: สำหรับผู้ที่ไปปฏิบัติงานตามโครงการหรือสัญญาจ้างที่มีกำหนดเวลาชัดเจน
• วีซ่าเพื่อการรักษาพยาบาล

3. คำแนะนำสำหรับบุคลากร
• สำหรับท่านที่มีกำหนดการเดินทางไปสหรัฐฯ เพื่อวัตถุประสงค์ทางวิชาการ ธุรกิจ หรือท่องเที่ยว ยังคงสามารถยื่นขอวีซ่าและเดินทางได้ตามปกติ
• สำหรับท่านที่อยู่ในกระบวนการขอวีซ่าพำนักถาวร (ย้ายถิ่นฐาน) อาจได้รับผลกระทบจากการระงับในครั้งนี้ โปรดติดตามประกาศอย่างเป็นทางการจากสถานทูตสหรัฐฯ อย่างใกล้ชิด

จึงเรียนมาเพื่อโปรดทราบและขอให้ทุกท่านตรวจสอบข้อมูลให้ถี่ถ้วนก่อนการวางแผนเดินทาง
