Operation Smile Thailand

Operation Smile Thailand is a non-profit-medical charity providing free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate & other facial malformation.

มูลนิธิสร้างรอยยิ้ม เป็นองค์กรการกุศลที่ไม่แสวงหาผลกำไร มีพันธกิจในการให้ความช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยยากไร้ที่มีภาวะปากแหว่ง เพดานโหว่ รวมถึงแผลไฟไหม้ และความผิดปกติบนใบหน้าอื่นๆ โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย

Operation Smile Thailand repairs childhood facial deformities while building public and private partnerships that advocate for sustainable healthcare systems for children and families. Together, we create smiles, change lives, heal humanity. Operation Smile conducted its first mission in Thailand in 1997. An international team of medical volunteers conducted two medical missions: one in Bangkok at the King Mongkut Hospital, and the other at the regional hospital in Yasothorn province. During these missions 172 Thai children suffering from cleft lips and/or cleft palates received free surgeries. In September 2001, Operation Smile Thailand registered with the Office of the National Culture Commission of Thailand to establish Operation Smile Thailand. An Executive Committee and a Board of Directors was established to oversee Operation Smile Thailand and an Executive Director was appointed. Within one year Operation Smile Thailand was financially self-sustaining. Operation Smile Thailand has worked hard to promote self-sustainability by recruiting highly qualified Thai medical professionals. By doing so it has allowed Operation Smile Thailand to conduct an average of 10 surgical missions per year. In the last few years Operation Smile Thailand has performed more than 6,000 free surgeries for children in the Kingdom of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. Operation Smile Thailand provides post-operative care including speech pathology and orthodontics. Operation Smile Thailand medical volunteers and staff participate in training and education programs. ซึ่งโครงการออกหน่วยแพทย์เคลื่อนที่ ที่โรงพยาบาลยโสธร จังหวัดยโสธร เป็นโครงการผ่าตัดรักษาให้กับผู้ป่วยที่มีภาวะปากแหว่งเพดานโหว่ นิ้วติด นิ้วเกิน แผลยึดติดหดรั้ง ที่เกิดจากแผลไหม้ น้ำร้อนลวก รวมถึงความผิดปกติอื่นๆบนใบหน้า โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย ทั้งนี้ ธนาคารออมสินร่วมส่งทีมโค้ชออมในพื้นที่ ให้ความรู้ทางการเงินและการออม ให้กับนักศึกษาวิทยาลัยเทคนิคยโสธรและนักเรียนโรงเรียนยโสธรพิทยาคม เพื่อช่วยสร้างวินัยทางการเงินที่ดี ออมอย่างมีเป้าหมายสำหรับการพึ่งพาตนเอง และสามารถบริหารจัดการเงินให้ง่ายและมีประสิทธิภาพ
Operation Smile Thailand would like to express its gratitude to Government Savings Bank, led by Ms. Vachira Karasuddhi, Senior Executive Vice President Marketing for Sustainable Group, for presenting a donation of 1,000,000 baht in support of our cause for the third consecutive year. The donation was officially received by Dr. Yupares Nimkarn, DDS., MS., Chairperson of Operation Smile Thailand, at the GSB Head Office on September 1, 2025.
The donation will support our Mobile Medical Mission at Yasothon Hospital, where we provide free surgeries for patients with cleft lips, cleft palates, syndactyly (fused fingers), polydactyly (extra digits), burn contractures, and other facial deformities.
In addition, GSB also sent its “Oom Coach” financial literacy team to Yasothon, offering workshops on saving, budgeting, and money management to students at Yasothon Technical College and Yasothon Pittayakhom School—empowering them with lifelong financial skills and encouraging self-reliance.
Operation Smile Thailand truly values this meaningful partnership with GSB, whose generosity continues to bring sustainable impact and brighter futures to children across Thailand.

เมื่อวันที่ 29 สิงหาคมที่ผ่านมา 🌈น้องแบมบี้ และน้องเบสท์ นักเรียนจากโรงเรียนประชาคมนานาชาติ (ICS) พร้อมคุณพ่อ ได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมติดตามผลหลังการผ่าตัด ภายใต้โครงการ “สร้างรอยยิ้ม” โดย #มูลนิธิสร้างรอยยิ้ม (Operation Smile Thailand) ณ โรงพยาบาลยโสธร จังหวัดยโสธร
ในกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ นักเรียนได้มีโอกาสร่วมเป็นอาสาสมัครเพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยอย่างใกล้ชิด ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการจัดลำดับคิวในการเข้าพบแพทย์ การพาผู้ป่วยไปยังจุดต่าง ๆ ภายในโรงพยาบาล ไปจนถึงการมอบของเล่นและตุ๊กตา เพื่อช่วยคลายความกังวลและเติมบรรยากาศให้เต็มไปด้วยรอยยิ้ม 🧸🎀

🌈On August 29, Bambi and Best - students from International Community School (ICS) - along with their father, joined the post-operative follow-up activity at Yasothon Hospital, organized by Operation Smile Thailand as part of the “Short-Term Surgical Program”. 💕
During the activity, the students had the opportunity to volunteer closely with patients - helping organize queues for medical check-ups, guiding patients to various service points within the hospital, teaching basic oral hygiene such as how to properly brush their teeth, and handing out toys and stuffed animals to ease anxiety and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere filled with smiles. 🧸🎀
would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to these young volunteers for generously giving their time and energy to support our mission. We truly hope this experience will spark a lasting inspiration - nurturing a spirit of compassion and volunteerism that will grow with them into the future. 💙🥰👧👶

💕เมื่อวันที่ 29 สิงหาคมที่ผ่านมา มูลนิธิสร้างรอยยิ้มได้กลับไปที่โรงพยาบาลยโสธรอีกครั้ง เพื่อดูแลและติดตามผลผู้ป่วยหลังการผ่าตัดภายใต้โครงการ “สร้างรอยยิ้ม” และครั้งนี้มีผู้ป่วยกลับมาติดตามผลมากกว่า 36 ราย
