** The BHW program aims to make healthcare more accessible at the community level. BHWs are trained volunteers who carry out health promotion, education, and primary healthcare services in their communities.

**The experiences of BHWs revealed how shortcomings in the implementation of Republic Act (RA) 7883 affected various aspects of their roles. They emphasized the need for adequate support through compensation and training to enhance their skills and confidence in performing their wide-ranging duties.

**The inadequate implementation of RA 7883 negatively impacted the motivation of BHWs and the full realization of their roles, hindering the program's objective of delivering equitable and accessible health services.
